In point of fact (!), I think Brad and Angelina are made for each other. I just look for the day when she leaves him for (a) her brother, or (b) her old girl friend. There are morons working everywhere, Buttercup. Nobody fact checks anymore and as few under 30 have taken Latin, well, it's hopeless. mem, note to self: You need better tabloids. People is practically The Economist by comparison with the other offerings. Yeah, the pictures are good but they just suck up too much to give the real dirt. Scrotis: Oddly enough, I know a mess of people who read high end periodicals and the tabloids. It's only the young and foolish who feel they have to choose up sides. I think if I plotted it graphically, there's an inverse relationship there. One of the most tabloid-lovin' people I know is a serious financial reporter for Dow Jones. Like I said, we all need some relaxation and for some of us, it's tabloids. |

Paris Hilton may very well deserve the award for overexposure. What does this person even do???? I am sick of reading about her in every magazine -- not just tabloids. |

"That which nourishes me also destroys me." Wow! Now that is REALLY profound. And again, in Latin, sigh. That qualifies to have her picture removed from next to "psycho" in the dictionary. It's also miraculous that she inherited the "Voight" boobs. Greene - I was wondering also about Vince! Was he upset when she cried over the brangelina pregnancy? Does he mind living in Brad's shadow? Cyn, I got a gift subsciption to People for christmas. What other mags shoud I be reading? |

Mem- Well, her mother is a French bombshell named Marcheline Bertrand. So maybe she has the Bertrand boobs. Whatever the case, Angelina's the definition of hot. |

Mem- I use my subscription to People as -ahem- "library" material. I figured it was OK to get one when I saw that my Wellsley, U of Chicago B-school, investment baker VP sister in law has one. I think you save the others for lines at the grocery check out. The downside to your own People sub is that you won't have much to read in the waiting room at the doctor's office. Some have Time, but too many seem to have Golf Digest, which I can't find anything in. Summit Medical Group Short Hills office has Family Circle, which can be good for a short wait. I once scolded an UES doctor for having nothing but high-brow reading material in his waiting room. "Why else do you think that people go to the doctor" I asked him? |

After brangelina adopted her last baby I almost started to admire her (I do want her to start focusing on US foster children though). But that glazed, smug look she has on her face now says everything. You see, she plotted to have Brad Pitt all along. She buffed up her image into this Save the World Super Cool Mom, and then bided her time like a bony spider, waiting for the inevitable day when she would star in a movie with him. Now that she has this empty suit called Brad Pitt, it's only a matter of time before their "love drug" wears off, and he goes running away screaming while pulling her fangs out of his throat. I read People magazine's "Letters from Our Readers", I know these things. |

I agree mem... As annoying as I find "Angie" (when the heck did everyone in the tabloids give themselves permission to call her that?), at least she seems that she might be somewhat interesting to hang out with...unusual, but interesting. Brad on the other hand is as interesting as piece of blank copy paper. I've only heard him interviewed once -- 60 minutes or Barbara Walters or something -- this was years ago, and I just remember thinking "Someone shut him up...quick" He was such an unintelligent boring drip. He should just keep his mouth shut. She'll get sick of him pretty fast |

Personally, I don't get tired of looking at Angiekins. Mmmmmmmm. Her mom's French and Native American (Iroquois?), in Canada we call them metis (may-tee). So she looks smug. I get to feeling smug when I find a good parking spot, or when I get complimented on my 4 year old's manners. A & B are exceptionally good-looking, rich & successful and are bagging someone who is, too. They are entitled to feel smug. |

I love Brad and Angelina - they're so retro - like when Liz Taylor stole Eddie Fischer from Debbie Reynolds. Brad fell head over heels for the most beautiful woman in the world, that's a perfectly good reason to get a divorce IMO. Angelina is smart, sexy, a humanitarian, a bona fide 100% movie star, has a juicy past, loves kids, and even flies her own plane. Did I mention she's stunningly beautiful? Jennifer Aniston? She seems a bit, oh, common in my book. |

Yes, I agree, enough is enough with the rich and famous. If they are happy why do they need such publicity? There is plenty of people who are rich and famous who don't have this need. On a side note, if Brad and Angelina have a brood of kids before they see how it all goes between them Brad will be twice divorced, if they ever marry.I can go on about the differances in the childrens nationalities, and how well they will get along, and what this all means, but I won't. |

Since she stole Brad from hapless Jen, I find Angelina's act to be way false - it's almost too cultivated, she flies a plane, adopts kids from around the world, works with the UN - it's like she following the plan of some publicist. Remember how outspoken she was about her insane sex with Billy Bob Wifebeater, and her saying they would be together forever, with that vial of his blood around her neck - in the end (which came very quickly of course) he couldn't get a way from her fast enough. Can she act her way out of a paper bag - I doubt it, but we're all too busy checking out how stunning she is - and she is definitely is at the moment. Anyway, it sure is a great distraction. |

Mem, Angelina took Billy Bob from Laura Dern -- after the dust settled Billy Bob said Angelina was "too good" for him, that she was/is perfect and he was unworthy. Damn. If my ex's were interviewed they'd gripe about the 5-star basketball T-shirt I used to polish silver (It was old and holey, it was a rag with sleeves, get so over it) She's got the Sexiest Man Alive tagging around behind her with bottles in his back pockets and he's all into good deeds now - what's not to like? Everyone's happy, even Jen found a new guy and got the cover of Vanity Fair.

I agree that Angelina is way sexier than Jen. I think my interest, and that of a lot of women, is that it's a pretty archetypal scenario. Yeah, like Debbie Reynolds/Eddie Fisher/Liz Taylor. Where I used to live, there was a woman named Jimmie Lee, who all the men adored. She had that same come hither/go away. And she had a "story" and she was plucky and long-suffering, blah-blah. And she had NO women friends (which I think is always telling). Anyway, all the girls despised Jimmie Lee as "scab labor," a man's woman but never a woman's woman. I kinda think that's what Angelina/Angie/Angel taps into. And Brad the hapless Ken doll who crawled into her web. I'm sure Jen will be happier in the long run. Jessica, Paris, and Britney just don't hit the same archetypes. |

Cynical, Angelina is another Elizabeth Taylor, she's catnip for the men-folk and even women have to admit she has the whole package. The woman I can't stand is that dreadful Paris Hilton - she has all the money in the world but she doesn't lift a finger to help anyone besides herself. Paris Hilton is horrible. |

Lydia - I think Billy Bob was speaking with tongue in cheek - angie found out he was messing around on him when he was touring with that rock band and she went ballistic, needed meds, etc and ran off to Cambodia. (This I know from a musician friend). Billy wanted out. For the sake of those kids, I hope she doesn't get sick of being super mom. I saw Mr. & Mrs. Smith (god help me) and neither of those two could act their way out of a paper bag. It was hilarious.

Thank God those two are so good looking otherwise they would have to find other careers. I doubt we'll ever see AJ playing Lady Macbeth. The worst fake accent I have ever heard in a film was Brad Pitt's in Seven Years in Tibet. It was supposed to be this serious movie and I kept snickering every time he talked. |

TIVO ALERT TIVO ALERT TIVO ALERT Angelina will be on Nightline tonight at 11:35pm. Heard Cyntha McFadden on a morning talk show talking about how Angelina completely won her over. She said she was unusually honest and is one of the only people in Hollywood who doesn't have a publicist. |

OK, I admit it. I watched the interview. Some of it. Angelina Jolie has enormous lips, similar to a duck's bill. She also seemed kind and interested in helping children. She acknowledged that her movie career is helping her provide help for so many people. I have no idea if it was an act, but if it was, she was convincing, as I am very skeptical. I didn't dislike her as much after seeing the interview. Prior to that, I thought she was kind of skanky. |

I seriously started to admire her, especially after she adopted Zahara, but now I think she's a skanky fishface for stealing Brad. If she's real about helping all these kids I guess I'll get over it, especially when he dumps her. I can't believe I care, but it's like watching a train wreck - I can't stop! |
