Kolchak the night stalker!
The BEST scariest show ever on network TV.
I still remember the opening - Kolchak is typing away and tick-tick-tick - he turns around and there's something lurking!
Friday nights were my mother's date nights - I convinced my sitters that I was allowed to stay up past nine and my mother insisted we watch "Kolchak" - remember that episode under the streets in Seattle? Or the beyond scary headless motorcycle rider?
Darrin McGavin will always hold a fond and scary place in my '70's TV heart.

Yea Soda...thats Barry Atwater there. Love this from the trivia on IMDb.com..
