Because you haven't gotten out of your car and scared the out of the state workers who are supposed to do it. Actually, I think the state uses prisoners to clean the roads, so maybe we need to lock up more people. |

The Burnet entrance to 78E gets a cleanup every now and then but within a day it's a filthy mess. Christmas trees, mattresses-do people stop to throw these out of a car/truck or do they do it as they are driving? I was noticing the off ramp of 78W(50A) is extreemly filthy. Why can't they use DOC people ot do this? I work in Bayonne and they are now going to start taking bids to clean up the streets. They did have DOC people doing a half-arsed job of it. How about those community service people? Getting buzzed by traffic while picking up litter may keep them from committing another offense. Or is that politically incorrect? |

"Because you haven't gotten out of your car and scared the •••• out of the state workers who are supposed to do it." It's because they are all bigger and tougher than him. |

The DOC only does pick ups when it is reasonably inexpensive. They have to pay guards overtime to go out with the prisoners, because they still need a full staff back at the jail. Some areas are too complicated for the guards to man. On and Off ramps are one of these places. If there are too many trees or obstacles, they have to add guards. So you will usually only see them on long strips of highway. |

I've always wondered about the mattresses. Next time we have to get rid of one, I'll just throw it on top of the car and take a spin. Didn't someone post something about getting rid of dirt and rocks? There ya go. |

I got an idea!!! Why don't we get all those kids who were/are causing trouble at the SOM and high school (possibly even their parents) together and have them clean up the town as part of their punishment. Since corporal punishment is gone (I shed a tear), maybe some nice hard work will help. Taking on BGS's humble opinion.

Maybe instead of throwing the matress onto the car, I can have the kids take to the highway and dump before they pick it up? |

RL, I guess you like trash since you spend most of your time taking cheap shots at me instead of offering viable solutions.... Oh and by the way, you shouldn't be concerned with what some of us posters say about you on these boards. You should be concerned with what we say about you off these boards....the talks are just way too funny.... -SLK |

"I guess you like trash since you spend most of your time taking cheap shots at me instead of offering viable solutions...." What does one ("liking trash") have to do with the other ("taking cheap shots")??? Other than proving your utter lack of being able to process logical thought. Here's a suggestion for what to: start a revolution or shutty your mouth. Ah, you like that, don't you? Something you can use while you talk about me outside of MOL. I'm the best you got, conversation-wise? Really? Sad and freaky, Homie the Clown.

tullip- if you are depending on Rl to help you win in November you are surely dillusional... I bring up GW and your underwear gets in a knot, I talk about an environmental issue much closer to home and you don't give a rat ... typical...wouldn't want you to actually do something about it instead of just whining on an internet board.... -SLK

Out in Hunterdon county last week (Tuesday and Wednesday to be exact) there were some worker bees (not sure who they were affiliated with) walking along with those pokers and trash bags, and another group collecting blown tires and tossing them into a truck. Maybe they're starting west and working east? |
