Years ago when we first moved here my spouse picked up a bunch of cheap water pistols at Job Lots just before our block party. Everyone had a ball. :-)

I think the people of our two towns should get together for a huge pillow fight like the one held in NY's Union Square in February.

Many years ago at CHS we played a similar game. Water pistols, id badges, and all. The guys who organized it did a great job of moderating the play. I'd swear they had 70% of the student body involved. Dr.Krause shut down play a couple months into the game. My point being is that it was so much fun.

You could combine a watergun assassination tournament with a wet t-shirt contest.

Or how about having an MOL face to face at one of those paint ball parks. It could be the Libs against the Cons. :-)

To heck with that whimpy watergun stuff.

Not sexist at all. My wife loves to see me in a wet t-shirt.

Unnecessary, yes, like most posts on public messageboards.

How is it sexist?

1 : prejudice or discrimination based on sex; especially : discrimination against women
2 : behavior, conditions, or attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex

Tom is not descriminating, and if he is talking of men and women, how does that foster a sterotype?

it is a practice that encourages people being viewed and judged strictly by their bodies in a debasing manner. it fits definition number two to a tee.
poeple should be judged by the beauty they have inside themselves and not by some genetic lottery.

FOR SHAME!

Since I can't tell how beautiful someone has inside are until I cut them open, I usually have to go by external looks.

BTW, internal beauty is typically genetic also.

the email address you refer to is an anatomically correct reference that contains no slurs, sexist references, and/or mysogenistic phrasing. your attempt to project your sexist attitude upon me has failed.

I'm just saying I am amused. One can't say I'm right or wrong about that.

If you think I'm sexist, you don't know me. For that matter, if you think I'm not sexist, you don't know me, either.

i do not know you. i can only judge you on your words posted here. your wet t-shirt comment was a vile sexist comment that showed a complete disregard and lack of respect for the sensibilities of the people of this community. i am disgusted that your sort of attitude is stil alive and well in this day and age. treating people like objects is shameful and you should be censured for it!

1. i find your use of the word welp(if you meant whelp) to be demeaning and a personal attack. it is also probably very inaccurate as i would think we are the same age. if you meant "well", then forget it.

2. this is not light hearted banter. i truly found your comment to be sexist and insensitive. you should be ashamed.

i make no jokes in regards to sexism and misogeny!

these are serious issues that deserve serious thought and attention. while your comment was offensive, to now find out that you have been treating its use as some sort of joke says alot about your obviously deplorable character. you shoud be ashamed that you find the objectification of the human body to be some sort of joke for you to laugh at. i am going to bring this to the attention of our moderators in the hope that this kind of disgraceful behavior can be restricted in the future. At the very least you owe all of us an apology.

Tom -- for what it's worth, I totally got you on the word "welp". I used to use it all the time (as a kid).

Lib, it is not an insult at all, and should not be confused with "whelp". Just an informal way of saying "well...".

Libertarian, you've previously joked with folks who can't figure out when you're joking. Fair enough. This time, it's your humor detector that failed. More chuckles for me. I was not actually suggesting a wet t-shirt contest. The thought of suggesting it is what amuses me, not the actual contest.

Folks, raise your hand if you knew I was kidding all along.

I agree sexism is a serious matter, for whatever that's worth.

There was a movie that contained this game that came out early 1980's called TAG: The Assasination Game starring Linda Hamilton. A player goes crazy and really starts killing people. Good Movie. I would love to play this game. I wish I knew about it when they did it in NY.

yes! ban water pistols! they should be outlawed! the threat of terrorism must be met with fear and repression! alter your lives! fun will merely distract us from the threat of terrorism!
