No April Fools here. Ironically, M&S turned down 180 million about 6-7 years ago as well as 120 million from Gristedes about a few years ago. Settled for 61 million? Wow. Can only image what the private equity firm will do to this company. |

Give him a few posts.... I'm sure there's a connection. Perhaps we low life's forced them out of business. |

King's is sold? I was there yesterday and there were a whole bunch of suits in attendance: little nametags with 'district manager' and similar titles. It's not overly large for a supermarket, but it would make one hell of a spacious nail salon. |

Hank, It's clear that you never read all of my posts......as if I should care. My so-called "bashing" posts have pertained only to the condition of the Jacoby/Hilton area. I have often stated how nice this town was provided that you live as close as possible to Maplewood Center. As far as Greeny comments, sorry to hear that you consider yourself a low-life. I have never used any form of child-like name-calling as many others have done. Also, they are not out of business, this will likely strengthen their business.

The British parent company of Kings Super Markets Inc. agreed on Friday to sell the upscale grocer for $61.5 million to a trio of investors with a track record of trying to turn around struggling businesses. Upscale grocer? Really? |

Even in trying to explain that he's not bashing, he does more bashing. Phil, you never disappoint. |

Nohero, you are officially off my Christmas card list for 2006. Oh wait, can I use the word Christmas in Maplewood? I mean my "holiday" card list for 2006, |

In Maplewood, don't even use the word list - it's showing your support of the new McCarthyism. You better stay away from this message board, njphilf, otherwise you'll be on a list you'd rather avoid. |
