http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/

Type in your address, and it will display a map with coverage around your home.

I've never seen such a detailed coverage map. It aligns exactly with my experience. My BlackBerry almost ceases to work in the fair zone where I live. I walk one block away and its much better. That suits me just fine, who needs a ball and chain 24/7?

Yes, this map seems very accurate, according to my experience with T-Mobile. Service in my house is still marginal but it's improving.

Yet another thing I love about T-Mobile.

If you go into their store, you can get even more detailed information on coverage, including areas of the US that might seem to have no reception.

My parents' home was one of those places without any coverage, and the person I talked to was able to request info from the parent company to see if a tower was coming in the area... and it was.

My only complaint is how much I have to restart my sidekick, particularly on the train.

Or you could get verizon and not have to worry about a coverage maps seeing as how you get service virtually everywhere.

I have been with T-Mobile for 2 years, but I will be leaving soon. I get no service in my house and at the girlfriend's place. I figure that if I am paying for the serive I might as well get one that actually works.

I have verizon and have absolutely no problems with coverage. I use my phone for work (and work from home) and have good reception anywhere in the house, in Maplewood, or anywhere else i go.
