there were at least 6 open houses in a 2 block radius of my house today!

looks like it was a busy day for open houses. I refrained from snooping. But a couple of the houses were reeeeallly cute...

Seems like a much better market for buyers this spring (and I mean that in terms of selection, I'm not getting into the "is the market crashing" debate!)

Always more open houses in the spring and fall. The town is awash in color either from blosoming or falling leaves. Plus if you buy in the spring it gives you the summer to get your kid registered and ready to join a new school.

I was surprised to see so many open houses. We were told by some in the real estate community that Psalm Sunday (yesterday) and Easter (this coming sunday) are dead weekends.

Usually, traffic picks up this time of year, but this year seems exceptional. I still troll the Burgdorff and Weichert sites just to see what people are charging for their homes and in the last two to three weeks the number of houses for sale in Maplewood jumped from 26 to 36 to 80! Even at the height of early summer I don't think I've ever seen 80 houses available in Maplewood.

1-Go next door.
2-Ask if your neighbor is selling.
3a-If not, tell them everyone is moving because of them.
3b-if they are, repeat at next neighbor.
4-Feel better about yourself.
