I've been working on taxes much of the day, so not only do I owe both the Fed & the State money, but I have to waste a beautiful day to figure out how much I owe.

Yesterday was a great day for gardening, especially with garden pick-up tomorrow. Work? Yes; but, a truly great day for it.

Oh, dear Joan. I hope you are okay today after enjoying your lovely Saturday in the garden. ;-)

I'm doing homework and lurking again. And griping about it.

Hey Las!
not really a 'gripe.' Just wanted to let you know I think there is something wrong with your email. I've tried to email you a few times to ask if you had any luck with the 39 lottery tickets I gave you for your birthday. Garry tells me most likely not; which is why he thought it was a stupid present and wanted no part of it. (I still haven't told him I signed his name to the card).

Hope you were able to get outside today to enjoy the beautiful weather!

My only gripe is the laundry I have to do. The laundry -- which seems to expand through mitosis, to multiply like bunnies....well, you get the picture.

Otherwise, it was a lovely day. Went for a walk and, later, had a lovely dinner with a lovely friend!!! And less than 2 hours 'til The Sopranos.

Took the kids into the city to see the car show...after 20 minutes, they squealed they wanted to go home because they were "bored"! Mr. Kibbegirl and I managed to ignore them until WE were ready to go. Took the little Kibbegirl's to Bubby's for lunch -- they complained that the burgers were made with WHITE cheddar instead of yellow and that the fries were too "dark" (and no, they weren't burned). A beautiful Easter day with the kids? Hmmmmm....

kibbegirl, you didn't have kids to receive gratitude, did you? But oy, I know how you feel.

I spent most of yesterday driving my car. Could have been worse, could have been better. I spent today indoors. Oh well. More days will come.

I do enjoy walking the dog lately. I love that pungent smell of fertility coming from the blossoms. And I love, love, love the long daylight hours.

Kibble-
A car show? Where? Drats, that means we missed it! I know this was a typo, but I just had to ask. Where is 'Bubby's?' Your kids sound like my nephews! 'But I want *white* cheese! The yellow tastes different,' says one. And "I only like Wunderbar bologna,' says the other. Kids! I even tried to give him bologna one day that wasn't Wunderbar, didn't fool him.

JTA - just to butt in for a moment - you can tell your friend Garry that your gift to Las was not a stupid idea at all. It is actually a very, very cool idea, and very thoughtful as well. Tell him to back off. You did something very nice.

Not butting in at all. I only wish my sister didn't still have a bum shoulder. She would have helped me make a Lottery Tree! Next year! Garry is a trip.I think it's because he thinks of more practical things to give people. He's a sweetheart though. I think he thought the beanie baby was a better idea.

He gave me my late birthday gift a week or two ago. Then again I take back my 'practical' comment. He gave me a Coach wallet thing. Like I know what to do with that! NOT! I think I'll give it to my sister for Mother's Day. She likes labels! Then again, since he left a gift receipt in it I can always return it for the cash! Maybe I'll buy an Ipod with the money instead.

BTW Are you going to Vinny's candle party this week?

Oh, dear. Three out of four of my bosses are traveling today and I've finished my work. What to do, what to do.... oh! I'll do homework. Because I always do homework.

JTA, I've got to confess: I'm not too keen on getting to know a man who tells you your ideas are stupid. Have you straightened out the email issue?

Soda, I don't mean to overstep the virtual boundaries, but I must profess: I miss your smile. Do put it back on...

Hey, Just the Aunt :-) "Bubby's" is in the city on Hudson street. They have awesome food and their brunch will knock your socks off! They have a location in B'klyn too...not familiar with that locale. They are very kid friendly, unless your kids are complaining about everything on the menu like ours were!

Las - ME TOO!! I thought it had to do with sleeping with my windows open at night and allergies, but last night I finally remembered to close them and still woke up with a nasty migraine this morning. Thankfully the Imitrex kicked in right away.

Could it be the changes in temperature?

It is 11:30 on a Saturday night. I should be out listening to music, laughing and drinking, rather, since noon I have been working on a term paper because I have a horrible life.

And there was a thick, black hair in my steamed chicken and broccoli. Because I have a horrible life.
