I was out by seven on Saturday morning. It was very foggy, but safe enough as long as you kept your speed down. About twenty percent of the cars on the road didn't have their headlights on. The headlights didn't help you seeing, but they sure as heck made your car more visible. Why would people be out driving without turning on their headlights in those conditions? Do people rely on their automatic headlights?

Headlights in heavy fog can make it harder to see because of how the light disperses through the fog. Do cars still have fog lights? I know I had one that had a specific light setting for fog, but I can't recall which former car it was.

My car does have automatic lights; I'll have to check the manual to see what it says about fog lights.
