With the three candidates who supported the Five year Strategic Plan not gaining re-election/election, does this mean that the Five Year Strategic Plan: 1. Is Dead. 2. Never was alive, nobody cared. 3. Is Alive and well, just different people to execute the plan. 4. Will be revamped with an NEW AND IMPROVED five year strategic plan. Thoughts? |

Smarty- As a newcomer and first BOE election, I am very curious to hear from the town veterans on the results. For a solid week I did my homework on all the candidates and was pretty confident that Gleason, Frazier and [most likely] Betheil were going to win (even though I voted for the two former and Brownlee due to his PTA experience). Boy was i surprised of the results. I knew SOMA residents wanted changes to the board but not to this extent. In fact I thought Frazier was a shoo in with all the lawn signs and endorsements he had. Just by the lawn alone I thought it would be Gleason, Frazier and Betheil. the fact that the incumbents came in basically dead last says alot. What did I miss the last three years? Were residence really that discontent with the the last board? So many mix messages were around the towns that it was difficult to tell. Furthermore, I found it bizzare that NO ONE was talking about the election results on MOL the day after. Why is that? -SLK |

It was in the Education Post, but it was deleted (appropriately so), because it didn't fit into any of the categories listed....thus Soapbox. It clearly says "No new posts" on the bottom of the subject areas, so unless it fits in one of those subjects, it ain't going in the education thread. I suppose it could've gone in the BOE elections thread, but I think that topic is basically over. |
