STOP. THERE IS A NO LEFT TURN SIGN CLEARLY DISPLAYED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE CAR WASH. Not to mention the dead-end sign on top of the street sign..and the second dead end sign a few feet down. The street has been a dead end for ages...WAKE UP. |

College is a street you can see from one end to the other basically. I watch them speed down the street at like 80 and then screech to a halt and pull a turn around and speed just as fast down the other way. |

I don't think anyone is going 80 down the street. 40 I might believe, but not 80. |

College is a block long, unless you count Waverly on the other side of the ave as sort of an extension of College. It is approx. 300 yards long. That would take some kind of car to get up to 80 that fast and not plow through into Wilden. The town isn't likely to give up speed bumps for a street that short so stand out there one day with a camera and take photos. That'll slow folks down, if they think they are being photographed. Just don't stand in front of your own house |

Well I did the test today. An old, small 4 cylinder can get up to about 55 halfway through the block |

Glock, I don't think it is a very good idea to drive down local roads at 55. You are the person that you are complaining about. |

I said i did a test. Which meant I did it once. Local, 2 way streets ... 25 mph speed limit. My point was that if a crudmobile could make it up to 55 halfway a decent car could make it up to 70 or higher. |

Even the new Camry Hybrid can finish a quarter mile at 92 mph. Isn't that about the length of College Place? |

Damn, that is some kind of acceleration. Bet it doesn't do that with the AC on.

Hommell, yeah, I thought the same think until I remembered you still have to stop. Glock, I understand RPGs are readily available on the black market. Why not upgrade from that puny nine? Bob K aka Crash |

Yeah please dont support the car wash there...there have been problems that we have had to go to SOPD for throughout the years.. (they turned the bench around in the kids park so they could nap on it but watch for cars they had to dry. and once they got kicked out of there they started sleeping/leaving rags to dry on the curb in front of it.) unmarked vans and trucks, trash everywhere etc etc |
