I'm not in a good mood...Mr. Kibbegirl has not finished his chores at our soon-to-be old house (he's had almost a year, people!) and the new house we're moving into is well...not ready for us to move into yet. I will have no kitchen appliances 'til Wednesday, but that doesn't mean diddly 'cause the granite guy has to measure so that means we still won't have a kitchen 'til end of the week, pushing into next week. We have two kids, two dogs, a dug up back yard not to mention the Xcel guys will be there for at least a month or more finishing up. The house will be beautiful when everything's said and done, but it's getting to that everything is "said and done" part that drives most to drink. I won't get to talk to you guys for a few weeks 'cause the computer area is not ready (suprise!) so I'll bid you adieu 'til I'm up and running again! I'll use my questions and answers wisely today :-)

The hassel will pass and in the future you will talk about it and laugh. Good luck in your new home.

Kibbegirl, it will all come out in the wash.... one way or another you will move out of your old home, no doubt with a lot of sweat and a few tears on yours part, and you will move into your new, and soon to be adorable home, albeit with more sweat on your part....

As for not being able to talk to MOL'ers, you know there will always be people up for a chat, and i'm sure some friends will happily let you log on on their computers to check in from time to time - if not, PL me and if I am close to where you are (not sure where you are going!) I will happily provide you with coffee and a keyboard.

All the best for your move

You guys are so sweet :-) I'll use the computer at the S.O. Library if I need to. It will get me out of the house from under the mess and keep me sane.

Good luck Kibbegirl and hang in there. Someone once said, "Happiness is having something to look forward to". So here's you and all that you have to look forward to in your beautiful new home.

...but I have to say I hear you with managing renovation with two kids though. I have to young boys (but no dog YET!) and we went nuts when we did our kitchen and the back and had so much stuff all over the place.

Kibble
I have a wireless laptop you can borrow. I'm sure you can find a connection somewhere.

Take lots of pictures and write how you feel on the back of them! In a few years, you'll laugh! In the meantime, it will keep you from killing your family and the assorted workers who will be in and out of your house. Good luck and here's wishing you much happiness in your new home.

Kibbegirl..

I am sure you are too busy moving today to read this, but when you do, I hope it all went as well as you could have expected, and remember to breathe!!!!

There is no time limit on getting stuff unpacked....

Be glad you can have a nice home when all is said and done. There are far too many people in this world that do not have a roof over their head or food for their kids for me to be upset because your granite counter tops aren't going to be ready and your computer hook up delayed.

She wasn't asking you to be upset, Psychomom. She was just describing the frustration of moving.
