Does anyone know what happened this afternoon on Boyden Ave between the Quick Check and Seth Boyden School? My husband said it was closed with police activity earlier in the afternoon and it was still closed around 6pm on my way home from work.

I walked by there last night around 6 on my way to pick up the car from the shop. The road was blocked while PSEG were making repairs on a utility pole. Simple as that :-)

Seatbelt checks maybe? They've been doing them in South Orange and other towns?

no I don't think so...the street was closed off completely for a couple of blocks, if they wanted to ticket seatbelt offenders they would have lured us in and pulled people over.

I live in the area. Project 37 is right, PSE&G was working on a pole and closed off the area.

I drove by in the late morning; a branch had come down and took a power line with it.

Duncan sweetie you have me all wrong...I don't wish anyone ill...what I am reacting to is the outrage that occurs on MOL anytime I suggest that anything could be awry in town. I am truly ecstatic that it was only a power line problem.
