What I have found is that I am too drunk and stupid (only rarely - really) to remember to drink water before bed. The last time I had an all night drinkfest what I did was this: Drunk sleep all night till about 7am - wake up, have two excedrine (sp?) with a red bull - if possible with some pork roll and cheese - go back to bed for two more hours, then wake up feeling ok! After waking for the 2nd time, drink water, oj, whatever... |

Carrey and Jeff Daniels are Harry and Lloyd, two complete nitwits who go cross-country to hand back a briefcase to Lauren Holly, who happens to be the object of Lloyd's affections. Brilliantly funny, it's one gag after another, but one of the highlights is when Jeff Daniels is forced to take a dump after being fed Turbo Laxative by Lloyd. |

I work with a guy that drinks pedia-lite w/ alka seltzer in it when he is hung over. Soze, I think they call it pork roll in the southern end of NJ because a lot of people eat trenton brand pork roll. I think the Taylor family lives in north Jersey - that's why we love the taylor brand ham up here. I am pretty sure Taylor Park in Millburn was named after someone in that (very rich) family.
The latest issue of weird NJ has a couple of pages on taylor ham this month. Also some strange pork roll recepies from the 50's (pork roll ROAST! my favorite). So. Anyone hung over today? |

Heather's plan sounds about right for me before kids...no longer an option, so I tend not to need hangover remedies now... |

You know - I ALWAYS called it Taylor Ham until I met my husband (from Point Pleasant) who "corrected" me by telling me that Taylor Ham is the brand of Pork Roll we see in stores. I still say Taylor Ham, but was trying to avoid confusion in case no one else did. Sounds like buzzsaw is right as far as the driscoll bridge theory goes. BTW - how did you make out with the hangover mem? |

According to Wikipedia.com "Taylor is the brand name for pork roll made by Taylor Provisions, Inc., of Trenton. Taylor also manufactures pork roll under the Trenton brand." The John Taylor of pork roll fame was apparently from Trenton and he first made pork roll in the late 1800's. Taylor Park in Millburn was donated by a local citizen in the 1920's. The park was given to the town in memory of her late husband, Mr. John Taylor. It is a common name and I do not believe that the two are in any way related. That said, I think I'll go out and get a Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwich now. With salt, pepper and ketchup of course. |

Thanx for the history lesson there but I still call band aids band aids, too bad for those who didn't corner the market sooner. What's funny is I buy brands other than Taylor Ham but when I get home I still call it making a taylor ham samm'ich |

Ha ha! It's just a representation of how I thought (perhaps) buzz might be feeling. Unfortunately, as the father of some energetic young kids, I doubt he was enjoying his couch right then! And thanks for watching my back. I'm thinking Thursday may actually be possible for an IRL (already off next Friday/Monday for a visit to Maine). If I can do it I would love to watch England vs. Trinidad & Tobago with you! Guess that cancels out taking a 1/2 day tomorrow for US's match against the Czech Republic. Luckily, a friend promised to send me the URL for a webcast. OH yeah! I went to the car wash around 1:30 today. When I left my house, Mexico was tied 1-1 with Iran. The car wash had a television set up with the MEX/IRN game and when one of the guys noticed I was actually watching he asked who I was rooting for. I said Mexico and that T&T are my team. Well, don't you know that Mexico scored not one but TWO goals while I was waiting for my car! And I got the cleanest car ever because I cared! What would happen if the rest of America did? |

OK, by trial and error over the past week, the best by far is this: While overserving yourself, make sure to eat at least two slices of pizza and take three aspirins. Try to go to bed before midnight. I did this Monday night and Tues morning I was as chipper as road kill! |
