Ah yes, how foolish of me not to have been more inclusive.
Please take all gays and blacks responsible for the invasion of Iraq (or similar Republican-inspired stupidity) and drop them in the moat as well, preferably where the Republicans are the most concentrated.

Well Case, all of a sudden things ain't so quiet in Soapbox!
I posted the immigration thing as a joke, you know, like ha ha, hee hee, and I would normally post it in Virtual Cafe, but everytime I post something like that, it draws the Soapbox denizens into the cafe where they are seldom seen. My only problem with the moat is that they'll have to raise taxes in order to dig it and fill it.
Other than that I'm all for it. Though I don't think we should mix the eels with the Republicans - that would be cruel. If you want to kill them, just kill them... don't subject them to the torture of being eaten alive.
(I'm referring to the eels, of course - you can do what you want to the republicans).
(And yes, I'm just kidding about torturing and killing republicans. Half the time I lose track on who's a democrat and who's a republican anyway). |

SLK, while I agree that it's ridiculous to paint all Republicans with the same brush, it is not rational to compare being a Republican to being Gay or Black. First of all, you're not (and never have been) an opporessed minority. But more importantly, you are a Republican by choice. People who are gay or black cannot decide to be straight or white. |

Bajou, actually, I'm the worst. I married white man with two kids. It is obvious that I spend my entire life day consipring to keep minorities down, you especially. My hatred for single women, particularly those like you who came to this country to suck the life out of us white men, have our kids, then divorce us, is unparalleled.
Oh, and I'm not affiliated with a political party, so I either cannot make a decision about any topic, or I am right in the middle on every single topic. Or so I've been told. |

Kudos, you are right. I was thinking the same after I made the post that the black/gay comparison isn't a good one.
I just find it disturbing that some liberal posters feel it is ok to dislike (borderline hate) someone over politics to the point of disassociating themselves.
I find liberal politics pretentiously arrogant and dangerously naieve at times but if I started to dislike everyone who holds them I would be one lonely individual.
Some of my best friends, including my wife, are liberal!
