Last month. It's usually about $35 - $40. Anyone else have one this high? |

No leaky toilets or dripping faucets? If not,and your not doing an inordinate amt. of watering,I would definitly investigate further. |

That's it? Ours is usually twice that. If your bill seems unusually high check to see if there are any leaks anywhere. Maybe a hose leaks? Did you have guests staying with you? Maybe there is something wrong with your meter? |

Who is high?? Is mem drinking from the hose again?? I told her she is gonna get addicted.... No really its those hangovers MEM. Its when you have to drink 20 glasses of water in the morning to wash out the booze. That's why my bill is always around $ 80.00 |

Is this an estimated bill or based on an actual reading? Have the bills for the past month(s) been estimated? If so, that can result in a sudden spike in the bill. |

My house has TONS of leaky faucets and my bill is not usually $80. If we water the lawn and garden a lot that is the only way we can get that high. Almost as high as mem. |

Joan, It appears to be an actual bill. I had the outside meter read, they are coming inside on Friday. |

Do you remember when water bills came quarterly? I recall those days fondly since the bills ranged back then to around $45/50. I do not get shocked any longer to see an $80 bill. This past winter, however, I received a bill well over $100 and was told that due to icy conditions, my water had been estimated over a period of time and an actual reading finally caught up to the usage. No matter how little water we appear to use, the cost goes up. Summertime is rough, of course, keeping all those plants alive. My present water company ire is over the fact that, although I have been paying for the water line insurance, when we finally gave up on the poor pressure/volume situation at our house and called the NJAW folks, we were told that it was our expense to replace the line!! The insurance only covers it if the pipe has holes in it! The condition of our pipe was 80 years of coronary artery blockage - normal wear and tear! I won't even tell you what our dealings with the water company have been like these past two weeks. It's too depressing. The new line is still not connected. |
