I posted once, asking where the Jitney schedule went... I think Dave said they changed it too often, so they stopped posting it. Who do I go to about the jitney? The most recent schedule that they give out is from January '05, and it gets me upset - here's why: I have to steak out at least 15 minutes to wait for the jitney, because it is so unpredictable (not because of drivers, but because of scheduling), that I do not know when it will be coming. I have to go outside or to the train station (depending on if I'm going to or from the train station) within a window of 10 or 15 minutes, so that I don't miss it! Who runs the jitney, town hall? We need good schedules and some sort of clock synch. The Valley Nat'l Bank clock never has the same time as NJ transit which never has the same time as my phone & watch which never has the same time as the jitney's. I don't think my phone should be involved, but can't the times of the town clock, nj transit, and the jitney be synched up a tiny tiny bit???
Ok, rant over. Any advice of where else to complain besides MOL would be appreciated. |

Ooh sorry - I was talking Maplewood -- but funny thing, I got on the jitney tonight, and there was a schedule - June '06! Weird - and still unacceptable if it has taken a year and a half to update... |

The Wyoming route [at least] has changed from what was posted on the site. Some of the pick-up times have been moved earlier by a couple of minutes so people won't have to hoof it for the train, once at the station. I know the 8:15am on Wyoming route has been moved 3 minutes earlier or so - although the jitney is consistently early. I know b/c I miss it pretty much every morning.
End of day, it's a great service so I'm not going to complain too much. |

The Jitney is run by Gary Lenci the DPW Director. The schedules have been updated at least twice in the last year, I know this for a fact since it was I who had to make the changes. We change them when transit (or the riders) tells us that the train schedule has changes. I don't know why you just got the newest changes, I printed them over a week ago. I will have Gary talk to the drivers to make sure that they have been giving them out.

I don't think it is the drivers, because if it was the drivers, it would also be the concierge... Pen & Jen's up until now has only had Jan '05 as well... they're obviously not getting distributed by Gary or whomever -- or maybe I just missed the new Jitney days --- but Pen & Jen's has had only Jan '05, so I know it isn't the drivers... |

LOL I am not saying Pen & Jen's is not up to date now, I am saying up until now all I could ever get was Jan '05...
I don't know why everything keeps coming back to the drivers because I think they do a good job. |
