I'm a great fan of Tiger Woods. I believe he's definitely one of, if not THE greatest golfer to hit the green. That said, I STILL think it is HUGELY unfair of some commentators and sports writers to hint that the U.S. Open will be a snorer this weekend due to his early exit from the tournament. One guy in the ledger said it would be a bunch of "pros you wouldn't recognize if they showed up at your wedding" who would be "scrambling for for bogeys."

Mickelson? Singh? Montgomerie? Pros you wouldn't recognize?

Granted, there's no one who's under par after three days, but have a little respect! These are all great golfers who are better than any of the commentators and who, this time, were all better than Tiger (who was WAY over after two days). Give them their props. They work hard, they're good and they deserve it.

Sorry. Just had to let off some steam.

watching golf is exactly the same as watching grass grow. No matter how skilled the golfers are, there is still nothing even remotely interesting about it on TV. Unless of course you want to take an afternoon nap, in which case its a great sleep inducer.

I guess that's why you're called Hoops and not Tees or Links?

You have to like sports of finesse and strategy, rather than brute force and speed.

Golf is by far the most blatantly arrogant sport. All of that space for one little flippin' ball? nooo thanks

I usually do not watch golf, however I tuned in to watch the last round on the 18th hole. What a mess! First that guy Montgomerie blew his chance to win over Mickelson, then Mickelson blew his chance after hitting his golf ball into the Hospitality area . Then the dude tried to hit it out to the green and the ball ended up in almost the same spot. It gets worse. Mickelson tries again and hits the ball into the sand pit. Now thats classic

Olglivy, who no one expected to win the open…won!

So I didn't watch the Open till the last hour, but the conclusion was kinda of unexpected and exciting. I'm sure Mickelson isn't laughing, but I sure was.

How could you blow this dude?

Um, do you really want an answer to this?

I think you are missing a comma.
