With Valley St. torn up like it is, and those monster 2-inch bumps getting across, is anyone besides me amused by the site of SUVs slowing to four miles per hour in order to negotiate them? I thought you were supposed to be able to drive those things over tree stumps and boulders; why do you have to creep over a little bump in the road? |

Let's see: how else can I talk on my cellphone and chew on a bagel at the same time as I drive? |

They're for parking on the islands at the mall when the lot is full. Duh. J.B. |

Who slows down?! I like weaving in and out of the raised man hole covers. If anything I speed up. |

Why not careen right over the manhole covers in an SUV? tom, I like your question.

The easiest thing to do is just put the manhole cover directly between the wheels and drive right over it. But yeah...i saw someone in an offroad-style jeep with jacked up suspension slowing down to less than 5 mph |

The SUV can handle the bumps no problem, the danger is in the tires. Why ruin good tires when there is no need to. The funny thing is that if the SUV drivers were going faster then car traffic on these roads they would more then likely be accused of reckless driving. That said I agree with algebra. I weave through that obstacle course in my jeep. |

those bumps on valley must be brutal in that little thing. actually, tom, the real reason we have SUVs is so that we can blind you with the headlights reflecting off your side mirror. no dimmer on those side mirrors! |
