Bajou, doncha know, Waterboy is so much more intelligent than all the rest of us losers here on MOL. He's really the only one who knows anything about anything. And he's certainly not shy about letting us know how intellectually superior he is. I thought everyone knew that. I would like to hear more about the groping incident, though. |

So Dr. Arthur Curry: Let's see what I know about you ....? Option 1: There are several options: Dr. Arthur Curry is the ilegitimate son of a human lighthouse keeper and an outcast queen of Atlantis. Option 2: In your own words: The story must start with my father, a famous undersea explorer — if I spoke his name, you would recognize it. My mother died when I was a baby, and he turned to his work of solving the ocean's secrets. His greatest discovery was an ancient city, in the depths where no other diver had ever penetrated. My father believed it was the lost kingdom of Atlantis. He made himself a water-tight home in one of the palaces and lived there, studying the records and devices of the race's marvelous wisdom. From the books and records, he learned ways of teaching me to live under the ocean, drawing oxygen from the water and using all the power of the sea to make me wonderfully strong and swift. By training and a hundred scientific secrets, I became what you see — a human being who lives and thrives under the water. There is even a song about you: Batman's got the Batmobile Diana's got her invisible jet It seems like everybody else can fly even Samurai but a stupid seahorse is all I get Green Arrow's sharp but I couldn't be any duller My orange costume's uglier than any other color I'm not as tough as Batman or as cute as Gleek I'm a little taller than the Atom but smaller than Apache Chief Option 3: You are the father of Derrick Curry Option 4: You are a cranky dry drunk... What will it be my friend.

Meandtheboys, I have 1 request: 1. Please refrain from name-calling. My name is Aquaman. My friends call me Arthur. In the future please address me as Dr. Curry.
Thankey. Yours Truly, Honorable Dr. A. Curry, Esq. |

So Aquaman... you jump on Meandtheboys but I posed a question and gave you three optional solutions... alas no answer from the sensitive one. You were rude to my best friend, then apologized as only a lawyer could do, by being more insulting and now I call you out on it but to no avail. Either I am onto something in my original post on this thread or you don't want to deal with somebody who can dish it out and take it. So what's with the whimping out? Plus you really are in no position to request no name calling. I started this thread for the sole reason of putting a mean name caller in his place. I am game and trust me I am in the mood for it...you are right up my alley right now.. |

Dearest Bajou, Please accept my sincere apologies for not understanding you. You first posed the question, "What's your deal..what's your problem..?" at 3:57 p.m. yesterday. Then at 4:32 p.m. you posted again. Please understand, I'm a very busy person. What with the law practice, the medical practice, and the research project, plus the political consulting, humanitarian work, and philanthropic appearances, I have no time to conduct real-time discussions with you. I like to think I'm doing the work of 6 or 7 people. This will be my last response to you on this matter, as I have no interest in getting into a dialog with you. Your second post started with a declarative statement followed by an ellipsis, followed by a question mark. You were going to quiz yourself on what you knew about Aquaman. OK. Then you listed Option 1. Apparently, Option 1 is that there are several options. Then, you posted several options about what you knew about Aquaman. (Congratulations on your successful afternoon on Google!) Love the song. You then posed a question without a question mark, but with a period. Am I supposed to pick one of the options? OK. I pick Option 2. Happy now? Is this what you wanted in a response? Now that I have answered your "call out", you can feel proud of yourself for defending your bestest friend. It was a truly honorable gesture. Thankey. |

And I can't see any name calling in Meand's post. Just statements of her opinions. Name calling is saying that so and so is a sh**head. That would be name calling. that is in no way meant to be name calling if there is a registered MOL'er who posts or lurks who goes by the handle "so and so" |

And now that I have seen where this whole mess started
Quote:Your whimsical posts celebrating the lighter side of alcoholism are always a delight to read. Please accept my most humble apology for calling you a barfly. Tell me which of these monickers you prefer: Drunkard? Toss-pot? Boozehound? Alky? Wino? I most certainly don't wish to offend! Again, a thousand pardons. Cheers!
If that isn't grounds for suspension then I don't know what is. There is no "lighter side" to alcoholism and mem has never said there was. Take that from an alcoholic sober 15 years. And I thought SLK was the biggest anus on this board when it came to topics of addiction. Congratulations, you take the prize. How much self hatred do you live with??

Dearest Bajou, Dearest pompous Arthur "You first posed the question, "What's your deal..what's your problem..?" at 3:57 p.m. yesterday. " Oh no my dear, I posted much earlier on a different thread which you conveniently hijacked to spew your misguided anger. } Then at 4:32 p.m. you posted again. What with the law practice, the medical practice, and the research project, plus the political consulting, humanitarian work, and philanthropic appearances, I have no time to conduct real-time discussions with you. I like to think I'm doing the work of 6 or 7 people. }Does the rest of the world know how important you are? You are not listed as a lawyer in the state of New Jersey and your humanitarian and philantropic efforts and apprearances must be minute if no imaginary. I think you like to think alot of yourself...just keep it real my dearest Arthur. This will be my last response to you on this matter, as I have no interest in getting into a dialog with you. }Well yes sir and call my fany fancy... Now that I have answered your "call out", you can feel proud of yourself for defending your bestest friend. It was a truly honorable gesture. You know what Aqua'd-down-boy... you are a schmuck. Dear Glock or Paper Bag over the Head guy: Nobody said anything about feeling personally threatened? I said a ban was threatened which is Dave's prerogative. I just thought that if the guy can throw out 4 or 5 nasty slurs in one post that me calling him a schm*ck (translated Jerk) was pretty harmless. But I am glad you take the time out of your busy schedule to enlighten us...LOL Dave I will respect your decision and humbly beg for forgiveness.. Mem ... see you on your porch later if you are around...maybe us two lushes can have our own private discussion about the legal profession as a whole. This is more of an observation than a personal attack... one of the lowest forms of message-board-posting has to be the 'making fun of someone's username' post. There was a VERY active poster recently that did a lot of that - then again, she made a ton of enemies - but still, I always thought it was pretty lame. And I JUST noticed that Boozehound is Mem. I need to read the names more closely...

Ladies, I fear I've offended, please accept my most sincere regrets. Mem, your recent thread titles : "FREE BOOZE". "Cure For a Hangover Please" and "I'm lit up Brighter than Paris!" Led me to (mistakenly!) infer that you enjoy the grape, sometimes too much, hence the plea for hangover relief. Mem and associates, I humbly retract my inference. I glean from your recent postings that you are a group of VERY classy gals. Not only are you classy, but you speak a bit of Yiddish! The Best! Oy Vey iz mer! Classily Yours, Dr. Curry

Aqua, The name of the thread was "Lit Up Like Las Vegas", not Paris. I do enjoy the grape, but not as much as my silly posts imply. And yes, we are a classy group of gals (It's only the 40 or 50 of us or so), but nowhere near approaching the level of genuine class, gentle spirited, caring, warm hearted wit and jocularity you display that has so won all of us over. Not sure why Aqua"man" seems to feel the need to deceide who drinks too much. What mem does or doesn't do is really not your business nor should it affect you, or does it? Why don't you come by tomorrow at mem's deck party and you get to meet the 40 or 50 people you so worry about. And what gives with his totally vicious attack on mem being (officially) ignored but Bajou's WAY more controlled defense drawing the threat of banning? And HE attacked on a regular thread (which I thought was the biggest no-no) and she (and others) responded on Soapbox... Have the rules changed (that radically) since I joined MOL?!!!
