My cat has dementia and wails in the basement all day like a woman giving birth, my puppy has a cut in his side so he has to wear an old tee shirt of mine and a giant cone, and my greyhound who is normally Mr Mellow is irritable and cranky.

I need a drink, old wino that I am! Goodbye!

Pets? Bah, humbug. No cats, no dogs, no hamsters, no fish. Who needs the aggro?

I gave my daughters' hermit crab , Lietenant Dan , a "Viking Funeral" last night. We sung/hummed Taps & Amazing Grace. It was so strange to explain death and etc. to my girls as we watched the "Bad Lt." begin his journey to the great beyond.

Boozehound: Cheer up. It's probably beneficial.

Humans and animals have evolved together for millenia. Some feel that the human needs animals to track (or keep track of) or else they may remain psychologically immature. I guess that's why some prison inmates benefit from contact with pets.

In your case, well, it's helping you drink.

Mem

You scared me when I read your post..I thought you went to my office without my knowing and got to know my coworkers. LOL

I know your pets well as you know...
kitty my friend and old roommate god bless his soul.
The little big white one (or cone boy as he is temporarily known) will grow into a mindboggling beauty inside and out.
And Jack O'Lantern is my fourth favorite dog in the world (right behind my own three).

Drink up girl you deserve it...Wish I could be there.

Call me immature, but I'll always find these things to be funny.
