Hey - don't diss Dustin. I happen to think he is quite a cutie (especially as Benjamin Braddock). Just please tell me you are taller than Dustin Hoffman. I am pretty sure I am. |

Bajou, although you'd never know it from his behavior, Woeful Mr. T is indeed married. Besides, he's not the type of person you'd want to associate with - I can introduce you to more suitable suitors. |

The problem is that after proper seasoning the misfires start happening, and you're left asking "Who loaded the blanks?" |

Hi LASS and ESS: Oh for crying out loud don't you know when somebody is sarcastic. Mr. Soul: I know you are married because you have told me so but I for some reason like your posts (except for the last one...a wee bit much my friend) _________________________________ Also I am not looking for a suitor or a husband. I thought a singles club might be fun..that's it. I am actually one of the few women in this world who has no interest whatsoever to get married or have kids. Been there done that but I do like flirting and I don't want to get in trouble with the definetly better half. |

I think a singles group is a terrific idea. But it should have some kind of age requirement [?] I mean, Glock just graduated from high school a year ago, so he can find his own social life. It's the never been or formerly married folks who need a social outlet with other like-minded folks. Concerned07040 |

The purpose of this group can be for making friends, dating, having dinner - anything that can help people stay connected. This Board can be intimidating, but it is a great way to start publicizing such a group. Why don't we set a date within the next couple of weeks, post it under different topics for publicity, just to get the ball rolling? |

Glock...you were never considered so don't worry too much. To all the others ... lets make a date to meet up and talk about it. I started the thread so I would just like to state that I meant it to be a place were people who are single can go to and meet people in the same frame of mind. That doesn't mean dating but it means to get a group together that can hang out, have a great time and enjoy each others company. I see catty I get catty! If you have a significant other but are not married you are still not considered single! |

Getting shot down by older women isn't so bad. They already know the hustle so it's expected that they'd be able to identify it and shut it down. eh. |

Being an older woman guarantees we have experience. I liken it to shopping for fruit. We have spent years in the supermarket handling the plums, bananas and grapes, avoiding those which are past their best, those with haven't reached an age where the sweetness and nectar are perfect, and seeking out those either at the right stage of ripeness, or those that we know within a few days will be delicious... I need to go shopping.... |

In Austria we say the following about older women: An older woman is like a glass of excellent red wine. Full bodied yet delicate Beautiful in color Goes with every meal Needs a few minutes to breath after opening Doesn't give you a hangover unlike those new grapes The smart Connoisseur knows she deserves to be cherished and the guy who doesn't know better should stick with drink beer

Glock was one of my former students and he is a smart, kind, and handsome guy. Are you sure you don't want to meet the Glockster? Why drive an old chevy if you can turn it in for a newer model? |

Haven't seen the flick and probably wouldn't, but did you catch Meryl Streep as the ultimate "older woman". She is really hot with gray hair!! Glock, you might get further with Bajou if you explain your passion for the products of Austrian industry, such as your namesake.

Mr. Leuchs, that is, in fact, Anne Bancroft (as Mrs. Robinson), although I suppose, from very, very, very far away, there is a slight resemblance. The use of the avatar is no mere coincidence! As far as Glock and newer models are concerned, I am now blushing. Little Ess is one of your students!!!!

I have 2 old friends - one single the other married for a 15 years - this is a real portion of a conversation: Single: Do you have any idea what it feels like to go to sleep alone every night? Married friend: Do you have any idea what it feels like to be alone next to [wife's name] every night? Moral of the story: There isn't one - relationships and lack of relationships is a complicated business. I've been single and married - I like both. My soul-mates have always appeared when I was happy and busy and not looking for them - same with true best friends. It doesn't really matter if you're fat or thin, making money or not, when you're happy and ready to invite a good person into your life, they will find you. My test was if I was talking about my ex prior to the 3rd date, it was too soon to be dating. |
