Because I'm just too good. I run a mean passing game. Lateral back, left-to-right. if one meets the other...duck and dodge the fight. That's how my dating life goes. You may have noticed the smaller Glock logo...the result of increased government regulation. |

Why am I single? .... Cause I am an intelligent, selfsufficient, confident and may I say sexy female who will flip a lid if I hear one more time "You are to intimidating to ask out". Geez!! That and I am kinda bitchy..LOL |

Monster et al, I find this offensive. Besides myself I can name five other people in town who are single because their spouses made the unilateral decision to end their marriages. There's nothing funny about it. |

Perhaps this thread should be re-phrased. "Why I chose the single life?" I remember when las told MOL of her own personal story. And believe me, it was NO laughing matter. Something I wouldn't wish on anybody. |

Single by choice and love it! With 130 children as students every year I love coming home to a nice quiet house. I love to travel and prefer not traveling with a companion so I can do and go wherever the whim takes me. Also I like being able to always choose whatever restaurant I want on a whim. Guess I am pretty spoiled! |

I don't mind if offense is taken at this post, I knew it would be, though it wasn't made to be offensive. But feel free to yell at me when next you see me, call the police, the womens league of whatever, and even the ASPCA, the American humane assoc. for the prevention of cruelty towards single people, etc., etc. I'll still love ya' baby.....

I know you love me baby, but I don't get it. Is Phenix right in that the intent of this thread is Why do you Choose...? |

Or better yet - change it to "Why you like being single" -- After all - no matter how it came to be, there are a lot of "pluses"

How about deleting the entire thread? Monster, perhaps not the best choice of threads. You're adorable and all, but this thread is not.

I would like to have a partner to share my sunday mornings with, to eat breakfast in bed together, to cuddle with, to watch that scary movie with, to take a walk late at night before we both retire....AND FOR THAT I HAVE THREE DOGS. I know exactely why I am single: I weigh a few pounds to many, I can get bitchy, am a single mother of two teenagers (serpents from hell) my ex ditched me 16 years ago, I have too many animals and I can be a bit too cynical. That is why I am single.... What do I have to offer besides two said serpents form hell (my, I love them to death and they will be my death,..teenagers), three dogs, a cat, a fish, a slim bank account, a not so slim waist and an uncanny ability to be bitchy? Everything for the right guy... There is nothing wrong with being single or lonely other then it sucks sometimes but sometimes it's great. I know who I am and what I want and I am not single because I can't find a guy...I can't find the right man that's my problem. All of us single people face this problem ... finding our right guy and gal. People don't leave each other because one is better or cooler then the other, it's only because people don't fit together. Sometimes couples thought they did when they first met, sometimes people grow apart and still sometimes people think it kinda fits till they meet the person who really fits. I know it hurts and I know it sucks. I went through it as a 24 year old mother of 2 (1 1/2 yrs old and one month old). Wish your expartner well let them be who they want to be and let them be with who they want to be with...nothing less then we deserve. |

You are beautiful inside and out Bajou and never ever sell yourself short. You are full of life, have had experiences that others only dream of or would never have the guts to do, you are intelligent, and if you are a few pounds overweight, I don't know where you are hiding them. You are raising two kids on your own, hold down a very responsible job and yet still have time not only for your friends but to help others too. Bitchy? Nope, I prefer to call it a quick wit with style. Too many animals? Nope, they are well loved and looked after and who is anyone to say you have too many. Uncanny ability to bitch - darling we all have that knack... Our experiences in life have made us who we are today, whatever you have gone through have made you one hell of a woman - and it's going to take one hell of a man to deserve (and cope with!) you...

Earlier I stated I know five other people whose spouses unilaterally ended their marriage. I neglected to say each of these people became single in the past year. These are people who reached out to me (via my blog) - imagine how many more there are? There are at least FIVE newly single people in our community - who did not choose it. Bajou: You are too beautiful in so many ways to be the kind of person who can't meet a man due to excess poundage (which you don't happen to carry). Buy a lint roller instead. |

Actually I believe there are very few people who truly want to be single. They don't want a commitment because they want to play the field but then they are not truly single. |
