I knew they were going to be digging up my yard, BUT..........THEY'RE DIGGING UP MY YARD! I guess I wasn't fully prepared for what that meant (after all the work we've done)! It's all good right? "TheBoys" are totally loving it though!

Unless they are digging for a full basement I am surprised the contractor didn't pick up a half a dozen smiling Central American guys to hand dig the footings. It would have been easier on your yard and probably less expensive than bringing in a excavation sub. |

"Full basement." The new basement will be 6'2", same as our existing basement. However, by code today a basement has to be 7' something to technically be allowed to be called a "full basement." So, technically, the new space won't be! |
