PIGS! ALL OF THEM! DISGUSTING! A GUY THREW A SNAPPLE BOTTLE OUT OF HIS WINDOW THE OTHER DAY AT A STOP LIGHT AND IT SMASHED ALL OVER THE GROUND. THEY DONT EVEN CARE THAT PEOPLE ARE SEEING THEM, LET ALONE WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE ENVIRONMENT!!!! GAAAAHHH

I just don't understand how people can do that.....riding on the train looking out the window at certain areas it is just sad. |

Im convinced that some people and families are selfish, unthinking, inconsiderate pigs and nothing you or I or Al Gore can do will ever change them. We can only hope that the kids move away and meet civilized, polite and well-mannered peers and decide to take on new role models. Until then, the trash is in the street and you better get used to it.

Actually it is not all people and it is not all countries. You never see people littering in Switzerland or Austria. But there is also a trashcan every 100 feet so you don't really have an excuse... |

I spent a year in Argentina and I was fascinated by the littering mentality. Upstanding, educated citizens who keep their homes immaculate (with the help of maids) would think nothing of walking down the sidewalk and tossing a candy wrapper. Or throwing a gum wrapper out the car window. In the residential suburb of Buenos Aires were I lived there were street cleaners (men with brooms) out every weekday morning sweeping the litter from the curbs. I guess that was one way to keep employment up. |

I thought of this thread earlier today - was behind a bimmer convertible up in Mendham and this lady kept throwing bits of paper over the top of the car and into the street as she drove... |
