What I also just realized is that both your name and username are both the names of famous horses. Smarty Jones lost to Birdstone (a long shot) at the Belmont Stakes in 2004. Horse racing fan?

Smarty needs to change his avatar to that character from the old BC comic strip: the cave man who carried around the sign saying "the end is near". |

I kind of look like that caveman guy. Kevin- good one! Saddly, I was actually at the Belmont to see Smarty defeated by evil Birdstone.....Good friend of mine was the ONLY person in the arena to NOT bet Smarty Jones.....he won north of $4k, but everyone hated him for winning (kind of like the guy who wins his bet when you CRAP out at CRAPS) Later that summer, we went up to Saratoga for the Travers Stakes.....I mistakenly bet against Birdstone...thinking he couldn't burn me twice....but he did and Birdstone won the Travers stakes as well. Great time, good memories. |

I'm having severe second thoughts about this....Maybe this is too drastic a move, and I need to merely "Limit" my daily postings....to say, 20 per day for starts? |

I just feel like my last post is going to be stupid....I feel it needs to be an earth shattering revealation....a truly amazing post..... Should I start a new thread? Or simply close one down.... or should I end it with a simple comment in the middle of an existing post in Home Fix it.... |

We should have a pool as to when Smarty comes back. No one stays away for long. I wonder what the longest voluntary time away is (i.e., being in prison with no internet access does not count). Anyway, I say he makes it until Friday morning, 11:05am. Who's in for $5? Closest without going over takes it. |

Smarty - don't you know they've officially raised the retirement "age" to 6000 posts? Since we're living longer, they're raising the retirement limits officially. I think you're stuck with us for a while. |

No. Don't set the retirement post at 6,000. I'm too young to retire as are so many of the other addicts among us. My guess is that the anagram is a simpler one like S. Marty Jones. |

Actually, he is still sitting at post #999. I guess maybe he is having second thoughts about pulling the trigger or maybe he is just waiting for something extremely profound to say. This is a big moment here. No sense in rushing it. |
