There must be a flaw in their formulas

 http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bplive/2006/states/NJ.html

Of the top places to live in NJ: Camden, Irvington, Elizabeth, East Orange & Paterson.

Doesn't this basically discredit the validity of the report when Maplewood made the top 100 two years ago?

I think this particular Money report ranked cities with populations of at least 50,000. The list which includes Camden, etc. is just a list of all the other cities in N.J. with populations of at least 50,000.

The population thing makes more sense. Or the editors apparently found there are more bribes to be taken from the pols in those towns.

 Sylvester:

Read the article again. None of the places you mention made the top 100. The five NJ cities which did are listed in the first of the two tables. All of the other cities in NJ including Camden, Irvington, Elizabeth, East Orange & Paterson are listed in the second table under the "Other Cities in New Jersey" heading.
