The Maplewood Police Dept. is running a pilot program titled the "Future Police" Academy. This program is offered to girls and boys, ages 11-14. The program will start on 8/28 and end on 9/1. Training days begin at 9:00am and end at 1:00pm. Cadets will have the oppurtunity to train along with Maplewood Police Officers, as they put the cadets through the rigors of academy training. Applications are available at the Maplewood Police Dept front desk. They must be returned by August 4th. There is no cost for this pilot program. The "Future Police" academy will be accepting applications through August 18th. Anyone interested in having their child participate is encouraged to pick up an application at the Maplewood Police Dept. (Front Desk) The program runs from 8/28 through 9/1, from 9:00am - 1:00pm.
