I think I erroneously posted in this section, not home improvement, that something was eating my house and Western was coming to determine what but I thought carpenter ants and I would let people know what Western said.
So Western came this morning. It's wood boring beetles not carpenter ants, and I do not have coverage for that justfor carpenter ants and termites, but a quick "mini-fog" should do the trick. "What's the mini-price?" I asked The mini-fog mini-price could not be named but required another "estimating" visit by a superviser/fleecing specialist from Western and more missed work on my part. Only then could a mini-fog be scheduled.
"Your tech already sized up the situation," I said to the dispatcher later. "A cupboard with beetles is a cupboard with beetles. A mini-fog is a mini-fog. Name the price, already." "I'm sorry," the dispatcher advised. "The supervisor won't give out the price without speaking to you at your home first to discuss enhancing your coverage. Then after that a mini-fog can be scheduled."
I am so over Western.
For this job, I'm calling Jerry Buckingham Bug Man, as MOLers suggested in the first place. So that's the outcome so far. I did say I would report back. (And you did warn me about Western.) B. |
