Maybe not the whole fraternity but definitely the individual with that license plate holder in the grey-blue SUV on Tuscan Rd. this afternoon. We were the right lane turning left into our driveway with our blinker on. You honked at us and barely missed hitting us because you were trying pass us on the left as we turned into our own driveway. You almost hit a family of four returning from the grocery store in the rain. If you had hit us, you would have slammed into the drivers side back seat where our daughter was sitting. Or, as my nearly smashed daughter said, "What a TOTAL idiot." Seriously, you suck. And I take it back, so do all your affiliated social organziations, for that matter. Why wasn't Tuscan Rd. on that seemingly pointless traffic calming study? SUV loser turned right onto Tuscan st. (which we observed because we were too stunned to drive any further or a moment) and was probably just cutting through. Why in the world would someone pass someone on the left who is telling you that they are turning left?!

Beats me, but it has happened to us, too. Our driveway angles oddly, so you have to pull a bit to the right to clear it as you turn left into it (otherwise you go over our grass or our neighbor's). There's always some idiot who decides you hit the wrong turn indicator and decides to zip past you on the side you are signalling you are turning to. And they're always in a blasted hurry, aren't they? I'm glad you are all OK; no thanks, though, to that driver. |

Ms. Petals, check you turn signals and make sure they are working. A year or so ago I passed a car that pulled over to the right curb and virtually stopped and then made a left turn into his driveway. This was a close call. He claimed he had his signal on.

I happend to be driving the car and I had the same thought, Bob. Once I got up the driveway I did just that...the turn signal is working and was on before I made the turn. BTW, it's not as though I moved over to the right in order to turn into my driveway--I was still in my lane. The other car went into the on-coming lane and almost hit me as I was into the turn. |
