Isn't there talk of blowing out the north wall and expanding the station in that direction?

Which one is "the" train station?

There are three stations in South Orange and Maplewood.

From the context of the above posts, I would assume most of the above posters are referring to the Maplewood Train Station. However, I agree that you cannot determine that for certain from Sam's original post.

To some people it's exciting, to others it's only somewhat amusing.

Personally, I'm on the fence right now. Need more time to think through the significance of all this.

I've heard it will be very expensive and to be funded by property taxes.

A friend of mine who has a friend who knows someone on the township committee says that the plan includes a 10 story parking facility. They're going to use some of the vacant land immediately in front of the station (I think there's some kind of park there at the moment).

This will be great for Maplewood, since it means we can finally have big chain stores in the village with plenty of parking for all.

I know the whole story, but I have been sworn to secrecey by the TC. This will change Maplewood forever. Some will say for the better, some will say for the worse.

Know you know why we moved out of town!

I heard that it will be dangerous and worst of all our children will be involved which scared the living daylights out of me.

Oddly enough, I heard that Andrew Shue would somehow be involved.

Where is Art when you need the real skinny on the Train Station? Right about now we could use a PAL like him to fill us in.

Lets see , the Post office is being replaced with a parking garage. NJ transit finally gets it's way ? BobK they would call that insider trading on Wall st.

I really like the new art in the underpass...the stencils. I think one was there two weeks ago, and gone the following week, though. I hope it was unsanctioned. Really good unsanctioned art is the best!

Wow, how bad would a parking garage be? I think a methadone clinic would be better...

A Methadone Clinic would defintely raise the property values in town. Maybe it could be a combination methadone clinic/nail salon. That would be pretty neat.

Seriously, a methadone clinic would be a lot less disruptive than a parking garage.
