Does anyone know if there is a fix going to happen to lengthen the time for the green light on Boyden Ave @ Springfield Ave? I can't believe I'm the only one to complain about the light changes too quickly!?! |

I bitched about this several months ago. So did several other people. Now just shut up and pay your taxes. |

It's just one of several traffic lights in the area that seem to have no intelligence behind them. And a number of them are on Springfield. How does everybody like hanging out for epochs at the light in front of Home Depot late at night? And if by some miracle you happen to catch a green on that one, you'll probably have time to solve some of life's more perplexing questions at the Millburn Ave intersection. And you won't have your thoughts disturbed by cars going the other way, because there generally aren't any! There's nothing I like more after driving all the way home from a rehearsal in Brooklyn than idling the night away at traffic lights on Springfield Avenue! |

You shouldn't need to deal with Springfield Ave. coming back from Brooklyn. Get off 78 one exit earlier and take Chancellor Ave. up to Springfield, cut across on Boyden and go up Parker. You don't need to go all the way up to exit 50 to get home. |

Romantc, Yes, I have continued to experience the same delay at this intersection. It is amazing that it can take 3 or more light cycles to get through this intersection at off hours, such as 10:00 am on a Saturday. I have just given up. It adds more credence to my feelings that this side of town is low on the town's priority list. |

It's really annoying in the morning. All of those lights have been screwed up since they changed the lanes and put in the bump-outs. Traffic-calming? HAH! Traffic-inciting, more likely. Making so much of Springfield Avenue (by the Libary down to Boyden Ave.) one lane is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. There are buses on the street, which slow traffic down and Springfield Ave. traffic blocks the intersection by the library for turning traffic. At least when it was two lanes, traffic could keep moving. I can just imagine when the police station and the church are active, too. Get rid of the stupid bump-outs and change the timing of the lights, for goodness sake! |
