Dave,

that's 2 personal attacks made by the king of lousy music. I think "Mr. Advertise my sh** band on MOL" needs a sitdown.

I think Chris Dickson should be reprimanded for not using stronger, more appropriate language to describe this poster.

I need clarification. Is it a "personal attack" if it accurately reflects a person's behavior on the thread in question?

Oh, my goodness, Mr. Strawberry, sir, did I offend you ... Gosh, I am real sorry, Mr. Strawberry, sir ... You see, it's really not a "personal" attack because, well, you're just really kind of talking head, right? Spewing out whatever crap that comes into your head while hiding behind your screenname ...

Oh, yeah, and that's Mr. King of Lousy Music to you, you punk ...

To be perfectly fair, a personal attack is a personal attack, whether it is calling someone a "punk" or "the king of lousy music". So either both Mr. Dickson and Mr. Straw should be sent to the time out bench or Mr. Dave should redefine "personal attack"(or actually refine the definition).

I'm trying to make up my mind as to whether I would prefer total civility or the freedom that would allow an occasional personal insult flowing naturally from a vigorous disagreement.

What was this thread about?

It was about the great suff happening on SA, anon...that is until it got derailed by a (risking the time out box here) negitive, ill-informed, myopic, simpleminded, fool. So, getting back to the discussion, NLR, thanks. It has taken a long time. Far longer than I would have liked it to, and yes, there is still much to be done before we can declare the major fighting over. However, the momentum IS there and the hard work is really starting to pay off. Clearly the value of houses in the area around SA have increased steadily when at one time they were going in the crapper. We have to keep the pressure on our new TC members. I know the previous group was very dedicated to this improvement. I'm not so sure about the two new people. It would be a crime to see this work slowed down or undone.

That's why you feel the need to go after me. Kind of gets you some much needed attention.

OK you two (Straw and Dickson), take it to a schoolyard for a Dis-Off. We can even make this a SOM funraiser and bet on who we think will be the winner.

My moneys on Dickson, seems to have more rhythm.

Facts are still facts. Springfield Avenue is looking good, and Straw had his ($35,000) Jeep stolen from Springfield Avenue. I just think commandeering a thread is the offensive part.

A face off with DICKson?

I now realize why he's taken one of my famous MOL quotes and made it his tag line. Just like his music, he can't come up with anything original.

That's why he's doomed to spend the rest of of his (career?) playing Bar Mitzvahs.. Yes sir, for those parents spending a fortune on music lessons for their children think twice. In the end they may turn out to be just like Chris Dickson. I'm not sure anyone really wants that..

oh and one more thing to all the SA heads.

I predicted a year ago SA would have nice paved streets and some potted plants and even a few shoppers. However, I have yet to see real businesses open there which I also predicted. A coffee shop and a bead store are great but as someone once said, "where's the beef?"

No sir, though I have commerical holdings throughout much of North and Central Jersey, you won't see me investing one penny on SA.

Sorry folks potted plants just don't make the grade.

With apologies to Run DMC

Shut up!!!

You talk too much...
You talk too much...
You talk too much...
You talk too much...

Hey! You over there, I know about your kind
You're like the Independent Network News on Channel 9
Everywhere that you go, no matter where you at
I said you talk about this, and you talk about that
When the cat took your tongue, I say you took it right back
Your mouth is so big, one bite would kill a Big Mac

You talk too much You never shut up
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never shut up

You talk about people, you don't even know
And you talk about places, you NEVER go
You talk about your girl, from head to toe
I said your mouth's moving fast, and your brain's moving slow

You talk too much You never shut up!!
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never shut up

You're the instigator, the orator of the town
You're the worst when you converse, just a big mouth clown
You talk when you're awake, I heard you talk when you sleep
Has anyone ever told you, that talk is cheap

You talk too much You never shut, up!!
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never SHUT UP!!!

Talking is the one thing, that you can do best
You told the cavity creeps, to watch out for Crest
You never have the story, right and exact
And then you always try to bore me, with your yakkity yak

You talk too much And then you never shut up
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never SHUT UP!!!

Everyday you are out fighting someone in the street
And you're always fighting someone you know ya can't beat
Then you wonder how, you got in this mess
Just think of what you said, then take a guess

You talk too much You never shut up!
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never SHUT UP!!!

You're always spreading rumors, whether bad or good
You're the damn Walter Cronkite of the neighborhood
The Barbara Walters, and the Howard Cosell
You always come around, with a story to tell

You talk too much And then you never shut up
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never SHUT UP!!!

Said it's everybody's business that you love to mind
And talkin to you, is like dropping a dime
You're spreading the word, like it is your job
You should be a stool pigeon, who works for the mob

You talk too much And you never shut up
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never shut up!

A big blabbermouth, that's what you are
If you were a talk show host, you'd be a star
I said your mouth is big, size extra large
And when you open it, it's like my garage

You talk too much And then you never shut up
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never shut up

You talk too much Then you never shut up
He said you talk too much Homeboy you never SHUT UP!!!

SHUT UP!!!
SHUT UP!!!

Twenty-five hours, eight days a week
Thirteen months outta year, is when you speak
I'm tired of listening to the garbage you talk
Why don't you find a short pier, and take a long walk

You talk too much Then you never shut up!
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never SHUT UP!!!
You talk too much You could be, out of breath
You talk too much Man you naggin me to death
You talk too much Tired of hearing you speak
You talk too much Eight days a week
You talk too much Then you never shut up
I said you talk too much Why don't you ever SHUT UP!!!
You talk too much Then you never shut up!
I said you talk too much Homeboy you never SHUT UP!!!

My 7 year old daughter loves strawberries. However she wasn't able to pronounce the word correctly until she was about 5 1/2. She would call them bore berries. I think she was on to something.

Strawberry's car was stolen from Springfield Ave. Not exactly an ego trip. Things could have been worse though. Imagine my embarrassment if the car had been stolen from one of the adult video stores instead..

IMHO, the person or people who stole Straw's jeep are very patriotic...in fact they probably are Bush supporters.

Think of it, by taking his 3 year old jeep, they created an opportunity for Straw to use his enormous tax cut to purchase a new automobile and stimulate the econmoy, on the eve of a presidential election.

actually Wharfrat has a point. I was so pleased with the new Jeep I bought, I went out and bought a second one 2 weeks later. One stolen car led to the purchase of 2 cars at Salerno in Summit. (You really thought I was going to buy my car at Maplewood Jeep on SA?????
