Wait a minute, I was born in Wisconsin. What's wrong with wearing a cheesehead once in a while? Have you ever tried it, Dave?

No Dave.. not a Dukakis moment at all. Being from Boston and living there when that unfortunate event occured I can tell you this is a laugher. Dukakis was trying to look like a Green Beret or something. He looked bloody ridiculous for all the wrong reasons. At least in this photo Dean seems to understand and appreciate the humor of it. If anything points to him for easy self assured self deprecation.

Go Packers! Go Cheeseheads!

John Madden was in Chicago to announce a football game one weekend when he noticed a special telephone near the Bears' bench. He asked a nearby player what it was used for and was told it was a hotline to God. John asked if he could use it. The player told him, "Sure, but it will cost $100.00." John scratched his head, then thought, what the heck. I could use some help picking games. He pulled out his wallet and paid the $100.00. John's picks were perfect that week.

The next week, John was in Texas when he noticed that same kind of phone on the Cowboys' bench. He asked what the telephone was for and was told "It's a hotline to God, if you want to use it, it will cost you $500.00." Recalling last weekend, John pulled out his wallet and made the call. John's picks were perfect again that week!

The next weekend John was in Green Bay at Lambeau
Field when he noticed the same kind of phone by the Packers' bench. He asked Brett Favre, "Is that the hotline to God?" Brett said, "yes but it will cost you 35 cents". John looked incredulously at Brett and said, '"wait a
second, I just paid $100.00 in Chicago and $500.00 in Texas to use the same phone to God!" Why does Green Bay only charge 35 cents"?

Brett looked at John and replied, "In Green Bay, it's a local call.

Dave - Duncan is right. A "Dukakis Moment" is when a politician puts on a helmet, takes a ride in some form of military transportation, and lots of pictures are taken.

Wait! Somebody did that this year. Now, don't tell me, I'll think of it ...

Nohero, I think W took the helmet off just in time because nobody, not John Glenn, takes a good photo in a helmet.

The flight suit and carrying the helmet is another thing. I thought W looked good, and I'm a 9 on the Kinsey scale

Nohero,

here's a hint: the guy you're thinking of, you know, the guy in the helmet and the military transport, is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the United States of America.

Would that be the Commander-in-Chief who ordered the carrier to sail in circles, just offshore, delaying its return to port so he could set up his photo op?

And MCK, I'm just shocked to hear such talk from you!

What is the Kinsey scale? Is it named after Dr. Kinsey who published an early survey of the sexual behavior of Americans and who was a graduate of Columbia High School!
