"The settlement gives the eruv association the ability to expand to whatever area of the town that it thinks appropriate..."

I must say Tenafly seems to have wasted a lot of money on this issue (5 year legal battle). I'm glad we're not going down that path over an essentially invisible line.

Thanks for posting that article. I have to admit I was pretty confused about this whole issue, but now I understand: if you want to push a stroller on the sabbath, you need to have little plastic strips attached to the telephone poles.

I have NO idea why this was confusing to me earlier....

"...if you want to push a stroller on the sabbath, you need to have little plastic strips attached to the telephone poles."

Well, it says so right in Exodus, immediately after the part about Moses splitting the Red Sea. Thereafter, the Israelites wandered amongst telephone poles in the desert for forty years, searching for plastic.

And that was right after the Christian community decided to eat Christ's body and blood by eating a cracker and drinking some wine. Case, not sure what religion you hale from, but many rituals and rules are taken on faith. While I don't get the eruv and I'm Jewish, I wouldn't presume to critique. Just as I wouldn't presume to wonder about the high carb diet of the Christians. But give me a devout person of any religious persuasion who is unethical, well then you'll see me roar about hypocrisy.

Come on Wendy, that's just their way of making Kiddish.

Hello my mishpachim! A big kiss on each check for all of you!

Regarding the Eruv, I'm going to give a big kiss to the people of Tenafly and Maplewood and any other welcoming community!

Remarkably, Rabbi Moshe has only recently learned the plural of "mishpacha."

Reb Moshe, tell me something. Are you acquainted with a fat woman named Tookie?

I don't mean to presume or anything, but I understand she's looking for a man who can give her some hard lovin'.

Before.

Honestly, Wendy.

To my dear J. Crohn,

What is a Tookie?

A big hug and a kiss to you.

Actually, Moses is credited as the father of modern petro-chemical engineering.

I am beginning to like this Rabbi Moshe guy. He really likes the ladies, now doesn't he.
