Has anyone been to Medieval Times in Lyndhurst? Is it worth it for a six year old who loves princess stuff (but doesn't have a hugely long attention span) and a mom who loves horses? $50 seems like a lot for dinner and a show. |

Entertainment Book usually has Buy One Get one free admission coupons -- or something like $10 off... I think One of the grocery stores (Pathmark or Shoprite) also has a partnership with MT, where you can get discounted tickets.

calypso Hmmm. I don't know if you'll find too much 'princess stuff' at Medieval Times. It's more josting (sp). Lot of kids go there and love it. The highlight for most of the kids is getting to eat with their hands. If you plan to go, use a coupon from the Entertainment Book (otherwise I don't think it's worth the money). We have several books if you need a coupon send me an email. I see this is your first post so maybe I'll just email you my phone number and you can call me if you want the coupon. |

calypso - I don't think a 6 year old princess will enjoy Medieval Times - she WILL get to have her photo taken with the king (which you will later be given the opportunity to purchase) and there are some lovely princess-type headgear (which you will also be given the opportunity to purchase). But, as JTA says, the actual show is a joust. Wait until she's older and can enjoy the "campiness" of it. The last couple of years, a Renaissance Faire has occupied part of the Reservation during June - perhaps that would be a better princess experience. |
