If I see one more anxiety ridden, quick cutting promo of some sweating, grimacing male running at someone with an automatic pistol I'm going to puke.

Thanks to FOX for running those mid-day during football games for all of the 6 year olds to see.

JACK IS BACK - What an unbelievable way to kick off the new season. Killing off 2 favorite characters in the first 10 minutes (I won't spoil who in case you TIVO'd it) but there may be spoilers in future posts.

I knew that a regular was going to be killed in the first show--I didn't expect these two!! I kinda thought it would be Jack's daughter Kim--it would be a good way to get Jack out of hiding.

So far, so good!! Can't wait till Monday nite!!!

I'm betting that the first one "killed" is not dead.

And not only because (s)he was in the commercial at the first break.

I missed 24 on Sunday night and last night I missed the first hour. Does anyone know if they will be repeating the first two shows anytime soon?
I don't know why but I love that show....

My fave line so far was Jack calling his girlfriend and saying "I'm in a helicopter with Derek".

And the whole reprogramming the cell phone thing was classic.

My husband and I pause the show just to remark on how completely ridiculous it is. We love it.

This is the perfect show to Tivo. No commercials, no waiting, watched Sunday and Monday each in 1 1/2 hours instead of 2. THe kids grandfather was here and we got him hooked!

Pizazz, I'm new to it too. I just started watching it this season with the four episodes shown on Sunday and Monday, and I'm instantly hooked! It's amazing. Are the previous seasons on DVD? I must have them! Jack Bauer rocks!

My favorite line was

Sean Astin: Chloe we met at a memory seminar

Chloe, looking confused: I guess, if you say so.

My favorite line, Chloe's in the car with Derek (?) and Jack is assaulting an FBI agent.

Chloe: Don't worry. He's really good at that...I think.

Just watched the four hours on DVR. Hi-Def picture looked pretty good, but there were some odd spots in the audio, with levels going up and down, and what seemed like over compression here on our Palm Beach affiliate.

After the trials and tribulations of First Lady Palmer, and now First Lady Logan, all I can say is, Nancy Reagan had it pretty easy.

zoesky you can get all the past seasons on DVD. But start with season one -- it's probably the best, though number two comes close, but you need to follow the character threads in order (otherwise you find yourself asking, "what happened to character X?" to which there's probably only one answer)

Town Video in Maplewood has the back seasons of 24. On Tuesday nights you can rent two for the price of one. My son and I had some nice bonding time watching the back seasons. Without commercials, it's better than the movies!

I have been hooked on 24 since season 1. It's the kinda show that'll bring you close to heart attack. Yet, you can't help but tune in. Go Jack!

Question: who's the cooler Sutherland, Donald or Kiefer?

24: The Movie?

Fox ran a promo for it before the 10:00 news. I can think of better ideas.

What are they going to call it?

"2"?

Maybe "3"?

I used to have that cat as the wallpaper on my work computer. It was deemed a little "too much". Now I just have a kitten holding a rifle aiming out the window.
So anyway...I think the President's wife has a part in the terrorist activities...just to screw with her stupid turkey-neck wuss of a husband.
The jerk didin't even say "I'm sorry I almost had you sent to a mental hospital." He deserves it:-)

Did anybody catch John McCain's split second cameo last night. If you recorded it , check the upper left hand box coming back from commercial.

He walks into a room in CTU and puts a file envelope on the table. This guy is a brilliant actor.

My boyfriend and I have been watching Season 2 of "24" since last week, a few episodes each night. We'll probably finish it Wednesday night, then launch right into Season 3....all courtesy of Netflix. We are so hooked right now it's not even funny. It's getting hard to keep Season 2 and 5 separated in my mind, and one thing we've noticed about watching back-to-back episodes without commercials is that you really get tense. It's almost so intense we have to enforce breaks every once in a while to catch our breaths.
Go Jack!

Zoesky - my husband and I Tivo two weeks' worth of episodes and then watch them at the same time. We find the intensity too great for one 40 minute episode with no commercials. By the end of it, I am like, "Bring it on!"

I would just like to point out that there is NO WAY that the guy in the motorcycle shop could have made all those precision cuts on those gas canisters in the time he was given.

Everything else, of course, is entirely plausible.

And what the hell, Jack? You go into the guy's bedroom, see a girl with a few bruises on her face and you don't search the room/her? Getting soft Jack? Both me and Mr. Blackcat knew what was going to happen once they let her go into the room to get changed. BAM!

Almeeeeiiiiidddddaaaaaaa!!!!!!

Oh sorry wrong forum...

Kill kim, Kill Kim!

After the bad got shot the motorcycle guy and opened the last canister, it did show all the other canisters with duct tape around the canisters where the cuts were to have been made, the code for each canister was needed, as each canister has a seperate triggering device inside.
that way it's possible to use one or more at a time without exploding them all.

How about Edgar's little smile after Chloe told him to shut up or whatever it was she said. Those two are my favorites. Does anyone care about Jack's relationship with Audrey? I just TIVO right through it. I'm hoping the CTU temporary chief's daughter doesn't end up playing a role. The best episode ever was when the other chief's daughter suicided so we didn't have to endure that ridiculous drama any longer.

In spite of it all, it's like IV adrenaline.

Anyone who is a fan of 24 MUST check out the Random Jack Bauer Facts web site--funniest thing I have seen on the Internet in a long time.

Some of the better ones:

"If Jack Bauer was in a room with Hitler, Stalin, and Nina Meyers, and he had a gun with 2 bullets, he'd shoot Nina twice."

"Upon hearing that he was played by Kiefer Sutherland, Jack Bauer killed Sutherland. Jack Bauer gets played by no man."

"Jack Bauers calender goes from March 31st to April 2nd, no one fools Jack Bauer."

"Jack Bauer doesn't miss. If he didn't hit you it's because he was shooting at another terrorist twelve miles away."

They're all at http://www.notrly.com/jackbauer/index.php?topthirty

My favorites:

"When Kim Bauer lost her virginity, Jack Bauer found it and put it back."

"When life gave Jack Bauer lemons, he used them to kill terrorists. Jack Bauer f-ing hates lemonade."

Looking forward to tonight's episode.
