My son is a big fire truck fan. Has anyone heard of one of the local firehouses hosting a birthday party for kids?

I think that one of my child's friends had one at the downtown Maplewood firehouse, and then took the kids to a pizza place for snacks. Don't know any of the details, I'm afraid.

I have been to about 500 Fire Dept. parties. Call the MFD and you can make the deal. It usually involves a donation to the fire department, but, to my memory there is not cost. The Kids get a tour of the building and the trucks and, depending on weather, might get to squirt the fire hoses.
For kids in the 3-5 range it is fantastic time.

Just give them a call and they will make the arrangements.

I just went to a 5 year old's party at the Millburn Police Dept.

Have to say that having been to so many of those parties at the MFD, my son was less freaked out when the Fire Dept came when my back yard was set on fire.
