-"Screw Jamie Ross, please"! -That is the hysterical plea and premise of most of Jamie's stand-up comedy bit which I recently caught at "Here's to the Arts". (I also figure that maybe Dave won't mind me plugging the place as a public [house] service announcement if I mention his brother with an "attention-grabbing" headline). -The additional really good news, (for those who haven't heard) is that Maplewood's "Here's to the Arts" on Baker street is now serving booze and beer, (and soon to have a kitchen) as they now have their license in full swing. Thus everything is now funnier and the music sounds even better, (and everyone is better looking and more clever and insightful). I thought that Maplewood's thirsty crowd should know. It's a nice place and for those that care, -it is already a no-smoking establishment. -Cheers |

Went there Saturday night and really enjoyed it. Drinking but no smoking, a kickin' band, and my favorite host and hostess (and some of my photos on the wall--for sale) Don't get out much, but when I do I'm sure I'll be going back. Would love to catch Jamie "in the act." |

I beg to disagree STEEL... please do NOT screw Jamie Ross! He'll get bitter and bitter, thereby allowing us to relish his "riiinnnnnoooooiiiingggg riiinnnngg" act for many more years to come. So you all do your community a service and steadfastly refuse to screw Jamie... OK, maybe just once to tease him a bit... |

I am most definitely not going to screw Jamie Ross, I wouldn't even think of it. AAAAAHHHHHHHH, I just did, damn you steel.... Now Jamie Pressly, Jaime over on Urban PinUp, even Jamie Joy Gotto, but definitely not Jamie Ross. I might give him a hug and a peck on the cheek though.... |

Meandtheboys: Were you there on Sat the 21st? If so, I was in the "kicking band" you saw (Al Gold and Friends). I know you and I have had some disagreements here on MOL on other topics but it was nice to hear that you enjoyed the music. Art's really is a great place. We'll be back (slightly different band but equally kickin) on Feb 11. |

If we had disagreements, I don't really remember them, honestly. Yes, I was there on the 21st. Got there around 11:00, shared a table with Willi and Tom (Conklin, Conlin--last name escaping me at the moment). Before we went out that night I checked H2TA website figuring it would be great to stop in and have a drink. It was my understanding that Willi and Art usually perform on Saturdays and I really wanted to see that, but I was certainly not disappointed to find a "blues" band was playing instead. And the music did not disappoint. What were you playing? |

Ahhh, drums. I always thought if I had it to do over again, I'd play the drums. Had a big crush on Phil Collins many moons ago! Nice work, Jerry. Thanks Dave. I thought it was Conklin. All I know is he really loves my dog. Buster is always the first thing he asks me about. Could give a girl a complex! |
