You can make a very good case for the Shield being the best show on TV, including the Sopranos. I don't watch a whole hell of a lot of TV, but Tuesday at 10, it's a good bet you'll find me in front of my set...lol! |

The shield is the best show on TV. You will find me and the hubby sitting in front of the TV @ 10 tonight to celebrate our V-day together! Love it! |

I added season one to my Netflix queue. But so far The Wire is the best thing on TV. |

I catch the shield from time to time and it is pretty good. I work on Tues nights so I find it hard to keep up with the newer shows. However, I agree with Mr Little. The Wire if not being the best show is one of the best on TV. |

I have do disagree on that one. I saw the first couple of episodes and just gave up on that. While The Wire is top three, I would also put entourage in there as well. |

Mayor- the beauty of FX is that they repeat their Flagship series several times a week. "The Shield" is rebroadcast every Friday and Sunday. So are "Rescue Me" and "Nip/Tuck" (I'm addicted to all of them). "Thief" premieres next month starring Andre Braugher and looks like another winner. |

Great show tonight! This is one outstanding hour of television every week. I'm going to miss it when it's done next week. |

It has the drama and character of "The Sopranos" but it moves at a much faster pace- each week is a potboiler. I don't watch "24" but I'm told it's very much like that, only darker. |

It's addictive, but very stressful and disturbing to watch - I always find myself feeling unhappy and stressed when the show is over. But I can't help watching! The Wire is also great, and now we'll have to Tivo "Thief" if it's supposed to be good. What station will carry it? |

It's a strange show because you're (I'm) not sure I want good things to happen to Vic. I may be alone in that though. I imagine most people love him. |

He's such a complex character that you know you should want him to get caught (or worse), yet you don't. Shawn Ryan had him commit a horrific, irredeemable act in the first episode for that very reason. Michael Chiklis does an outstanding job. You tend to forget all about him as The Commish or the annoying guy on Seinfeld who brings a hooker to Jerry's apartment. He was also Curly Howard in the Three Stooges movie- what a range! |

I love, love, love what he said to Kavanaugh about his ex-wife. That was hysterical. I hate Kavanaugh's character, which I know I'm supposed to. I also recently realized the guy who plays Ronnie, the bearded guy on the strike team, happens to be extremely good looking (were it not for that beard). I'm happy to not see much of Shane's wife. |

The Shield is no doubt the best show on TV. Seconded by the Wire. I dont understand how Kavanaugh could possibly seduce Vic's wife. I cant relate to a character that is that stupid. However I love the fact that Vic made the feud personal and that Kavanaugh has to do something just to get even. I cant see how they are going to get Lem off the hook. |

I have to tape the Shield because I often can't fall asleep after I watch (I'm waaaay too addicted). Unfortunately, my tape (yes, tape) ran out of space and I missed the last 5 minutes of last week's episode. Kavanaugh and Corrinne were hugging??? (I guess I'll see in a few days). |

Did it look like a consensual embrace? Or is he getting even? Or maybe Corrine is getting even for her beliefs that Vic is the father of Danni's baby? |

Hoops- I can't see why either. I keep wondering if she is setting Kavanaugh up- she hates him enough for pretending to be a fellow school parent, threatening to jail her, freezing her assets and putting her children at risk of losing their home (not to mention their father). maybe Corinne picked up a thing or two being married to Vic. |

I don't think it is as it seems. Perhaps he said something to her to make her hug him. Or he went to hug her (obviously to get back at Vic for saying his ex wife...tasted like butter!) |

Plus, how will the detectives on the case not figure it out? Tire tracks from his pickup, the sandwich, Shane's fresh fingerprints on the driver door? Shane is a pretty selfish character, remember the whole thing last year? It ws still nerve wrackng to watch, but I'm a little disappointed nothing was really wrapped up, so I wonder when they'll be back! |

BTW, I really can't stand all those commercials. Usually the first half of the show is not too bad, but last night it seemed more like commercials for Thief and Black White with a little Shield thrown in. 90 minutes was really about 1/2 hour of good tv. |
