Tom Rice and Friends will NOT be playing at HTTA tonight due to the snow. We will reschedule at a later date. You can still stop by Arts for a nice drink though! He'd be happy to see you. Hot Toddy perhaps? Thanks |

We almost cancelled the play tonight too Jerry. But we didn't and while the audience was small it was an audience that absolutely WANTED to be there and so what they lacked in size, they made up for in enthusiasm. Good luck with the next gig. |

Thanks, Duncan. We were prepared to play but gave Art the option to cancel which he took. It would have been a bit of an issue for him to pay us even if few customers came. We don't want to "play for free" but we also don't want to unnecessarily hurt Art's chances to make it as a great musical venue. |

sadly we ended up having to cancel Sunday afternoon. So we missed having the NY Times critic make it to the show which would have had some sort of impact. One way or the other. Now we will never know. I look forward to coming back down when you play again. My wife had a good time last time we were there and caught your band.

Tonght's show at Here's To The Arts is not cancelled. Every Monday is Stand Up Comedy. It's an open mike, so come and try it out or just watch. It's a nice mix of comics. |

Can you explain "Heres to the Arts"? I know where it is but from the outside looking in it looks small and the crowd looked like it was uncomfortable. I know that I have not given it a chance but can you give me a little idea of what its like. Bands, drinks, people? Thanks |

It is a very relaxed, fun place Brooklygirl. I have seen bands play there, movies screen there, even a special night devoted to a television show. Coffee, desserts, take out from local restaurants, and now a liquor license. I have never felt squished in there and in fact I hope one day I do! Cause that'll mean that word is out. Right now it is a pretty good little secret. |

It's a very nice place which will inevitably become more popular as word gets around about a different available Maplewood venue to imbibe, (having JUST gotten it's liquor license.) It's kind-of like a coffee house but with an alcohol option, (which makes sense since they used to be a coffee house). -They are also nearly finished with a new kitchen and shall thus soon be able to serve some tasty hot chow. PS: For those who care, -It is also already non-smoking for those who just can't wait until April for the state-wide ban. Live dangerously and stop by for a quiet drink, (often with live music), while it is still quiet. |

From a musician's standpoint, it is a nice place to play. The stage is a bit small and crowded but the sound system is great and the acoustics are good if you don't try to play too loud. We'll be playing there this coming Sat night, 2/18. Come on by. I think you'll enjoy the place and this band. |
