OK, I admit it. Just watched Under the Tuscan Sun and am dying to see more movies with beatiful Italian scenery. Must be recent, and gorgeous and color!!! Am open to particularly good travelogues... No, can't go a-travellin' at present but sure can enjoy it on film. |

You can read the book - and I have picture of the actual house & town upon which the movie is based and the book if you're interested I think some newish movie with Heath Ledger is set in Venice... |

hey, doulamomma...was just reading reviews of the book and it sounds as though if you loved the movie, you may well not love the book. How about you? Not sure Venice will get it. I think it's the countryside more that I'd like to see (though I imagine I'll be taking my kid to see the HL movie at some point). I've been looking at travel stuff in Netflix trying to see what might get it. Really enjoyed the movie, especially the visuals...I think I need Spring!! |

I saw the movie first & then read the book & liked it very much - it's along the lines of "A Year In Provance"...things are not as simple & romance driven as in the movie & misses the visual impact but I really enjoyed it |

Cynicalgirl - Stealing Beauty, starring Liv Tyler. The filming was gorgeous, the scenery exquisite. Not a great movie, but a good movie. |
