The Durand-Hedden House and Garden invites the public to "Loving Spoonful: 18th Century Recipes Cooked at the Open Hearth" on Sunday, February 19 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Well-known costumed interpreter Irene Kosinski will demonstrate how a variety of foods were cooked at the fireplace 200 years ago. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample typical soups and breads at this popular annual event.

Valentine's Day will also be remembered with old-fashioned cardmaking for the kids and the Country Store will be open with an array of unique books and gifts.
