Whit Stillman's "Metropolitan" (1990) just came out on DVD.
"I guess you could say it's extremely vulgar. I like it a lot."
("Last Days of Disco" (1998) was once on DVD but is now out of print. Perhaps it will soon get its own Criterion Collection version.) |

The word is out: Netflix now shows "Metropolitan" available only after a "long wait."
For the longest time it was on my list of movies that were only on VHS. ("Wide Sargasso Sea" also made the leap recently.) |
