The only reason I get cable is Turner Classic Movies.

Now Comcast has switched it from Channel 77 to Channel 52, and apparently I was getting it when I wasn't supposed to on Limited Service. So I have to upgrade to Preferred Service to get this great channel.

From $13.80/month to $53.05/month.

For one channel.

What are my options?

DirectTV carries TCM for $44.99/month. If I drop my cable TV service, Comcast will hit me with a penalty on broadband service that I think is about as much as I spend now on their basic cable.

Unless I switch to DSL, like Verizon.

I hate cable companies, with their fists up the asses of our "elected representatives."

What kills me is I still get CNN, even though I'm not supposed to, a channel I'd cheerfully see go down the toilet.

Oh, wait.....
