The CHS Wind Ensemble placed 5th in the Region I band festival last week. We received a Gold rating and nice plaque. Also, one of our players received the Outstanding Soloist Award for the evening. It was a great night. I hope this is written about in the Newsrecord. Information such as this tends to be unannounced in the community.

I wonder why Millburn HS doesn't compete in this festival. I know that we compete every year at the middle school level, but for some reason, the HS does not go to the various competitions. Maybe for some of the same reasons that Millburn HS does not have a marching band....

Millburn has a great program. I agree and am equally as boggled about why they do not participate in these festivals. I know a lot of all-staters and such from Jazz for Teens and other programs and they don't really know why they don't compete either.
