Is anyone watching this fascinating show on FX? It's awesome! It premiered last week and comes on again tonight. Andre's character, Nick Atwater, is gritty and complex. He plays a thief who suddenly finds himself widowed with a white step-daughter to raise and a crew to maintain and keep in order to do these heists. It's hot! Tune in...show our neighbor some support! :-) Besides, the actors can curse on FX which always makes their shows a bit more believable when it comes to intense scenes. No one I know says "darn it!" in heated situations :-) |

We actually posted some comments under the "Heist" thread, but "Thief" is worthy of its own. Andre Braugher is fantastic and the show is riveting. Two episodes, three major characters already killed off. The step-daughter is becoming a major problem for Nick (Braugher). Tonight should be good... |

Is it three major charcters killed off? Am I crazy to hope that Linda Hamilton's Roz (sp?) made it somehow?? I checked the website & it seems like she is listed in more episodes, but that could be flashbacks...

I suspect the Katrina references are after the fact inserts since everything looks damn good in NO. |

You know, Eric Wertheim, I often forget that the show takes place in New Orleans. I see the palm trees and automatically think L.A. I'm sure "Thief" brings in much needed revenue to the city. I so hope it gets picked up because it's a fantastic show. Enough with this "reality" garbage! Give us wonderfully written dialouge, complex characters and cliff hangers! |

Doulamamma- So sorry, but it's never wise to read a series thread if you haven't seen all the episodes. People post to discuss them. Watch tonight's episode and the lead-in will update you on all major developments...or else, FX occasionally runs a "catch up" marathon for their shows 4-5 weeks into the season.
Kibbegirl- I think they did a major part of the filming before Katrina and went back for some "tie-in" scenes after the fact. |

No Brett - I didn't read people posting - just looking at the series site with bios...it lists which episodes diff. folks star in, if I recall...I've been watching...just hoping that what appears to be isn't so... |

I watched it last night and I'm kind of lost. I hope they replay the first 2 episodes so I can catch up. How did his wife die? And who's the guy in the creek? |

Doulamamma- I'm relieved, but I wish the news was better RE: Linda Hamilton. I was looking forward to her being around. I know it's early, but you get the feeling that Nick's whole landscape (city, people, etc) will be different at season's end. |
