Each year the town has bands playing on falt bed trucks on like tuesday or sunday nights or something like that each week during the summer... i play in a cover band playing some stevie wonder, jimi hendrix, ewf and other stuff like that... i wass wondering if anyone had any information on where i might be able to submit a demo to get onto that bill... any help would be appreciated

Wednesday nights in July is the traditional schedule. I don't know when they do their booking, but Andy Brady at the Baird Center should be able to put you in touch with the right person.

You should hook yourself up with Art at Heres to The Arts. Also, I think Jamie coordinates on the talent. They also do Maplewoodstock in the summer, so hop on that train! If you play Jimi, I expect you to do the Star Spangled Banner at Maplewoodstock. An added bonus would be Voodoo Child, but I'm not gonna' hold you to that one.


Speaking of Jimi Hendrix, I just got that Woodstock concert they released last year - I had no idea he played that long, incredible!
