I rarely post negatives like this, but this movie is awful. The story is terrible, even the animation is subpar. I went with my 10 year old -- one of the first Disney movies I can recall that we should have walked out of. Not even the younger kids were interested or laughing, and didn't seem entertaining. My first clue should have been that there were no more than 25 people in the theatre. Avoid, don't even buy the DVD Pete |

I have no desire to see it. Looks like a bad rip off from Madagascar. |

our kids said the same thing, red. it does look like a "Madagascar" rip off. we saw "Ice Age 2" recently and we loved it! kids chuckled aloud and talked it about it the whole ride home. |

Thanks for the warning! My son saw Ice Age 2 and really enjoyed it. We'll avoid The Wild. |

It's not a Disney-made film. It was made by another company (Core) and is only being distributed by Disney. Any conenction between the people who made "The Wild" and those who created "The Lion King" is purely coincidental. It's impossible for a kids' movie to be financially viable if not tied in with a major-studio distributor. Disney is most the likely distributor for many of these films because of its experience in marketing to the family audience and the box-office pull that the Disney name provides, even when it has no creative input. This can cut both ways. The Pixar-produced animated films distributed by Disney in recent years have been much better than the ones actually made by Disney. |
