I heard Boston Legal was cancelled. Anybody watch or know if it's true? |

I don't know, but I stopped watching after Tom Selleck appeared. The show was an original until it slowly spiraled into being ridiculous and unentertaining. It's pretty much "Ally McBeal Sr.", and I was never an Ally fan. |

Boston Legal has not been cancelled. In fact, it's on tonight at 10 PM. |

There’s a lot that’s ridiculous about the show. Although I’m sympathetic with the politics, the axe-grinding of the writers is a little hard to take. The Ally McBeal comparison is apt. Though Boston Legal’s not quite as relationship obsessed, and they only have their battle-of-the-sexes court cases every other week as opposed to the weekly ones on Ally. The only thing I can say in defense of watching this contrived tripe is: Denny Crane.

the network won't make any decisions on next year until May, so that would be pure speculation on someone's part. |

James Spader and William Shatner are wonderful. The rest of the cast has gotten more and more annoying over the years. remember, this was originally somewhat of a spin-off from "The Practice" |

Why oh why was last night's episode obliterated with coverage of the tram catastrophe? WHY?? I hate network TV. Although, knowing BL, a case will be brought against the rescuers by one of the tram victims from MA. |

You folks rekindled my interest and I tuned in this week- not a bad episode, except the Candice Bergen/ Tom Selleck arc is pure drivel. But Alan going into court with "Hands" was vintage BL. I think they need to get back to court and stop a) focusing on personal relationships to the point of distraction, and b) work off the Spader/ Shatner chemistry that got it all started. |

Brett, How did you see it? Like Bets I was treated to the unfolding drama of people stuck in a tram. Riveting TV journalism no doubt, but I wanted brain candy. Not the sort of edgy realism that the local news provides. While watching the coverage of the stuck tram, I was tempted to call Channel 7 news claiming that I was on the tram, and if I got on would simply say, "Denny Crane!" |

Denny Crane to Alan Shore at the end of one show, out on the terrace drinking scotch and smoking cigars: "It's fun being me. Is it fun being you?" |

I was out of state visiting the in-laws for Easter. But I'll bet that tram story was just as compelling... |
